for now we are told that we will be getting multiple pve game modes first where tyranids attack the face of the planet against all of the players. second we should be seeing a little mode that lets you explore a dungeon and look for cool artifacts as you traverse through a tyranid infested dungeon. lastly we are told that a survival mode will be pute in where you fight hords and hords of increasing enemies. hope this helps
Keep in mind there is PvP content in the Underworld as well. If you go for the best loot in the dungeons (Relic gear for example) you open your instance up to invasion by opposing factions. To actually get out with that loot you have to bring it to the exit while fighting other players for it.
I wonder if there would be people solely dedicated to giving other players a hard time during PvE. Just wondering, *whispers* wanna join?
I'm in. I actually like that there is an element of risk to PvE. I'm going to enjoy those sweet spoils of war so much more.
I know imagine a Space Marine group ever so barely managing to bring down a Hive Tyrant PvE boss when suddenly one of the dungeon walls explodes and an Ork Boss stomps through, shouting "YE WANT LOOT?! TOO BAD, HERE'S CHOPPA, SOD OFF!" . . . before making mincemeat out of the weakened Marines. The butthurt would be glorious.
