< @MetalDog4 > "Shas'Ui Se'hen? Yes, I serve under her. Not sure as what, though, she hasn't given us roles yet. Who do you serve under, if I may ask?" Jirel was so nervous. He had to fight the urge to pull out Yim'ir and 'calibrate' her. This was probably his one chance, and he didn't want to scare her off by drawing his weapon.
< @BadDo9 > Mar looked at the Pathfinder with intrigue, supposedly he had killed 3 Gue'ron'shra, and yet he was nervous to talk to her! She almost laughed but stopped herself, she didn't want to insult the poor guy. "I am under Shas'Ui Mon'Tyr, 1st squad, though my trial by fire is coming soon, so I will hopefully be in command of my own squad soon, if the greater good allows."
<Tur> "You honor me with your blessing Ethereal, thank you. " Taking a deep bow that nearly brought him to a perfect ninety degree angle the Fire Warrior took his leave at the last. Motoring past superiors and equals at speed to make for the mess hall and find himself something a bit more pleasant to eat than that given to their prisoner.
< @MetalDog4 > "If the greater good allows. I am in fact near my trial, as well... but I wonder if I am cut for command. I have never had a taste for glory. All I wish is to support my comrades in their missions, and..." He cut himself off. To bring up his desire for a mate would only push her away.
Draal had come prepared for the meeting, writing down all the important info on a datapad that he brought with him specifically for this, however he was somewhat bummed that the 'las were being dismissed before the rest of the details were being given. Still, he copied down some info, names and associated tasks with them before the dismissal. He made his way out of the briefing room and toward the mess hall, can't spread the greater good on an empty stomach!
Valuable. Yeah thats what he was. Not prisoner. Or Useful. Valuable. "Ok, lets cut the shit." Fio said loud for all who stayed to hear, before continuing again. "Give me some more info on these Rebels. Name of the bad guys, the good ones, and the world. What type of world? How supplied are the rebels? Are they even fully human? More importantly, does the Imperium have any backup? The rebels are a lost Cause if any Astartes have dropped down to deliver support." Fio lit another Lho stick and popped it in his mouth. He looked up thinking about something again, waiting for the Ethereal's reply.
Se'hen leaned back in her seat, tapping a lip bearing many old cuts impatiently. Of course she'd outgrown her 'Plans are for Command, I run in a straight line and kill non-Tau' phase by now, but that certainly did not mean she liked the stuffy discussions implicated with more intricate plans. At least she'd gotten enough of a gleam of strategy that she understood half of what they were saying once the 'Las had left. Her mind wandered to Jirel, whom she had pegged as a designated marksman from the first second she'd heard of his exploits at the Academy. Strange actually that they'd given him to her squad, considering that she had no use for a crack shot sniper. The boy'd probably be put to better use under Monty, a good marksman himself. 'Eh', she said to herself, 'we do not question the Greater Good'. The woman sat and waited, listening half-heartedly to the pathos and talks and attempting to filter out the actual battle plans for this campaign.
< @IyandenCorsair @Casavay > One of the Shas'Uis steps forward in a threatening manner towards Fio. "You forget your place you..." She is cut off by the Ethereal raising his hand. "Please, Shas'Ui Anya, do not worry, if I had expected respect, I would not have asked Fio to be here. As for names, you will find them in the dossier the good drone is handing out. The first world is Sterelsis, and it is an Imperial agri-world with about 5 major hive cities, at least one of which is currently in open rebellion. The Astartes chapters that would normally respond to such an incident are currently enveloped by Shas'O Shasserra in the Dovar System, so we have a window in which to gain control of the system without worrying about imperial reinforcements. We will divide the Cadre up as follows, with a pathfinder squad and two fire warrior squads each forming a battalion led by the Shas'vre of the stealth team attached. The piranha, hammerhead, crisis suit, and broadside suit squadrons will remain in reserve, to be deployed as necessary. The mercenaries will go with the first battalion, comprised of Fire Warrior squads 1 and 2, and Pathfinder squad 1 led by Shas'Ui Se'hen. Shas'Vre Malk'yr will be in operational command of first battalion, which will also comprise the mercenaries. The remaining battalions will follow the pattern listed in the file. Are there any questions so far?" < @BadDo9 > Mar noticed his pause, but decided to say nothing of it, if he didn't want to talk about, well then that was his business. "So what was it like to fight the Gue'Ron'Sha (Space Marines)?"
< @MetalDog4 > "It was..." Jirel sighed, closing his eyes and searching his memory. "Exhilerating... and frightening. I knew one mistake could mean my death... and yet I took that shot. I could have called in their position, but that would have lost time... and time was of the essence. It was risk my life... or risk my comrades." Suddenly, he realized he was hungry... or rather, his stomach told him. "Apologies, Mar. Would you care to join me in the mess hall? I am needing some food."
