He had been sulking in the practically empty halls reserved for mercenaries and auxiliaries. The Greater Good welcomed almost all species, but there certainly wasn't complete integration between even the Kroot and Tau, some of the closest of allies. The former were often to blame for that however, often clicking and screeching to one another in amusement as they ramp up their glands to smoke out the Tau from their own areas.

So he had sat there, blocking the doorway to his empty room, milky white eyes surveying the halls. One would think that it would be hard to see the rage in an individual with such featureless eyes, but there were other factors to consider. His sensory quills would shake and rattle with rage, his slavering beak would snap at those that walked by, and his glands emitted a smell similar to a Kroot Hound marking it's territory. No, the young Carnivore known as Torek was far from happy, having been assigned to a mission of diplomacy when there were hunts to be had and flesh to be devoured. The Kindred from which he hailed might not have been missing the hot-headed hunter, but the Kroot certainly missed working in the field.

So this was the sight that entered the briefing room, the savage Kroot entering the briefing room looking at his assembled teammates like a mad Krootox. Torek sniffed at the air, catching the scents of the Tau and the human. He didn't particularly like what he smelled. Of course, neither should they. His body still emitting pheromones to scare off weaker beasts. Still, the sooner this pacifist mission was done, the sooner the Carnivore could return to his true purpose. He leaned his Kroot hunting rifle against the wall and waited, quills twitching.

He watched the pathfinder take his shot and smiled a bit, headshot. "Excellent shot, Shas'la." Then took up his position at the range and drew his pulse rifle and leveled it, might as well get some target practice too while he's at it. Another virtual ork appears, a few seconds later, a burning hole where its virtual head used to be. He smirks a bit before looking back at the human. "Erron, come, lets see how well a Gue'va can aim." He teases

Of course. He was led with a gun to his back. Lovely. It was nothing new, those months in the prisoner camps were the same. At least he hadn't been beaten by any of the Tau yet. Something the Imperium had no trouble doing at all.

When he eventually was guided to the Mess hall, he took a seat at nearest available table. He took his seat queit slow. A little too slow. Honestly he was just trying to mess with the Tau guard, for...fun.

"I believe your leader said something about some grub, uh. What was your name again, buttercup?" Fio taunted. Staring down the Tau with a mild smile.

A Drone came floating over with its single lens presenting a few options for food, all varying forms of borderline tasteless nutrient gels, but food none the less. There wasn't much reaction to Fio's goading other than a quiet grunt of impatience and the man losing his choice on food as Suve deliberately swiped a finger along the 'Argrosian Herb Spice' option, a particularly bitter and dry taste that was namely kept on board due to how incredibly cheap it was in production, though the same went for the others variety at least granted the illusion of greater living conditions. As the Greater Good willed.
  5. OOC: Torek is super early to the meeting just fyi, I'm waiting on @Casavay and @PorOborosCain before we begin the important meeting. So continue on as normal, if they haven't posted by tomorrow morning I'll go ahead and do the update without them.

The Tau'ui nodded, lips crooked into a pleased smile, as she watched the Shas'la gather around the firing range and compare their skills. There was much good in comradely rivalry. It caused pressure to excel, it forged friendships under fire, and in her own special case, it found her a mate she'd trade for nothing in the world. In short, her rivalry with Monty had brought her to where she was now, and she was happy with that. She brushed through her impracticably long white hair, feeling the white scar on her temple below her palm and the electric feeling of satisfaction, knowing she had earned it in serving the Greater Good and saving its people.

Slowly, she moved closer, her own Pulse Carbine attached to her lower back and collapsed into itself. Passing by the Tau and the mercenaries, she could not help but let out a small chuckle at her team's young sniper. "Good shot. Let's hope the Gue'la field virtual Ork'la primarily, and you're my number one man." The tall Veteran crossed her arms, and grinned at the younger soldier, before adding "Just messing. That was a good shot, Jirel. Keep that up and you're going to be Hero before I am."

Jirel nearly jumped out of his skin. His superior had snuck up on him, and was now making jokes? He quickly stood and saluted, leaving Yim'ir braced on the firing range. When he realized, he turned to gather her up, before realizing he just broke salute. He was spinning so fast, he fell on the ground, losing his footing.

He looked up at the veteran, smile shy again. "Apologies, Shas'ui Se'hen." He said, getting to his feet, putting Yim'ir on his back and saluting again. "Thank you, Shas'ui. But I have no desire for personal glory. I wish only to support my comrades, and help them achieve their missions for the greater good."

And to have a nice mate... he thinks. He was somewhat jealous of his Shas'ui, having found her mate. The fact he was too scared to ask for advice made it worse, but he held no contempt, only respect.

    -Erron
"Good To meet you Jirel, and Draal," he said as he met the Two fellows that would be in his squad shaking both of there hands as he got the Firing range with the others he readied his weapon a hand canonon and took aim with rubber bullets for the Firing range as The targets came up he took aim with both his hands and fired as a ork target came up firing several bullets at it till it was registered as down. "In Combat I have a few other ablilitys that are usefull but I dare not use it here with how it could react with the computers." Erron said looking to his new squad mates.

    Morelth-
Morelth silently took a spot near the simulator as he readied his own modded rifle he took aim "Tau your kind need to work more on its melee skills Is there any simulator that simulates close combat?" He asked in what sound to be a aggrevated tone as ork targets got near he fired into them to they didn't move or had more holes in them they resembled swiss cheese.

He watched the Gue'va with interest as they took down their target, well at least he wasn't a bad shot, giving a nod of satisfaction before turning his attention to the Tarellian that joined them. He was about to respond before suddenly he heard the voice of another and turned to see-- The Shas'ui! He immediately brought his pulse rifle against his shoulder and saluted, almost jumping out of his skin like his fellow Tau who just fell to the floor, he tried not to laugh.

Fio shrugged at the Tau's silence. He waited until the drone came back with whatever alien food the guard ordered for him and a cup of what seemed like water. For a moment he seemed to just stare off and look at the food. It looked as good as he expected. Bad.

The taste was dry and bitter. So, it tasted like everything else that entered his mouth. He couldn't remember the last time he actually tasted actual food. Maybe all the years of drinking Recaf in the morning. Possibly all the times he shot up Obscura in his youth. Mostly likely than not, it was smoking a pack of smokes every day. Speaking of smokes.

After most of the meal had been eaten, Fio quickly pulled out a Lho-stick and his lighter. The flip of the cap made a loud scrap against the flint that caused a flame. He took a large hit before blowing it in the direction of the guard.

"Oh, where are my manners. Would you like one?"
