Yep I only watched the last 15 minutes or so. I really hope stuff like Flickering Fire is going to be fixed.
If they mean new one replacing them, I can live with that as the current offensive spells are just not even worthy of being called trash. If they mean keeping the useless spells in and doing nothing then I have no words for that level of WTF?!.
I was going to suggest a similar thing. Protect does seem to be a bit flimsy, although I would say make it that it drains slowly even while being used, otherwise you'll just have Warlocks throwing that up the minute a fire fight breaks out (even with shots draining warpcharge). It should really be used for taking care for a few people and those trying to plasma cheese you, but anything more than about four or five people shooting at you constantly, it should only last a few seconds. Then why not just make it do what the description says, and just have them summon some fog? It could break spots, hide people's health bars and just be difficult to see through, so you won't be able to see who or what you're shooting at.
Cause we have performance issues already? Smoke may be hard to implement on UE4 with 30 players running around.
Only if all 30 of them were Warlocks doing the same thing, and you wouldn't get very far in a match with that team comp (not to mention impossible, because we don't have Eldar vs. Eldar).
