So I don't know if its been mentioned in any other thread or post but will there be the use of psychic powers and if so how will they be implement into game play? Also, will the warp have an effect on the battle field at all in certain parts of the world, like if the CSM owned an area, would there be an increase in warp storm sightings to help signify that this is Chaos own territory?
I believe they will include Perils of the Warp - which pleases me greatly, because damn I want to see Psychic-powers go horribly awry in a suitably lore-y fashion. And we know for certain that Eldar Warlocks are a thing. SM-Librarians and CSM-Sorcerers will be hero classes, if I remember correctly; powerful in the extreme but costly resources-wise. As for the Warp, I'm sure Chaos-controlled areas will get some nice effects. Or, at the very least, their HQ will. Should be suitably terrifying.
I dunno about the cosmetic changes to Chaos areas but it would be odd to not see it come into play, but things like morphic terrain might be a bit tricky for the servers to handle so while id like to im not getting my hopes up too much. Perils will indeed be ingame, how they will function is still unknown. As for the Lib/Sorc sentiment i was conversing with Michael and they are still undecided on how they would go about psykers. My wish is that they separate them in a regular and hero classes respectively. The hero ones obviously stronger in many regards and almost immune to the perils due to centuries of extensive experience handling the warp.
For us space wolves, our Psychic powers might be nerffed do to our Jaws of the World Wolf. But since EC doesn't come out until 2015 it gives GW enough time to update our codex, so we will see if we keep the mighty power or not. I would think that Jaws doesn't seem to be OP now. I mean it doesn't effect all unit types, and you have to pass an initiative test, so what is the big deal?
