Honestly the only way I can reliably punch Eldar vehicles is with the Kannon, and that's only good for one shot before getting unceremoniously hit by return fire usually. That being said our tankhunting is actually not in too bad a place for the most part, even with the kannons fire taking a bit to charge. Speaking of tank hunting has anyone figured out if Top armor on vehicles is better than some other angles? I'm usually too into attacking the vehicle, but I think it is the same as hitting it from the side, but if anyone has any realiable info, much appreciated.
If you hit the top back edge where the door meets the top it counts as a rear armor hit. Raining rokkits from above at this spot makes for pretty safe tank busting vs non mobile. Obvisously this doesnt work vs eldar but sometimes I seem to do rear hit dmg when I hit that glass cockpit shield. Also dont bother with supa sticky bombs they just drop to the ground next to any vehicle and do 0 dmg.
Well damn I'm gonna have to try this out! Usually I just punch rhinos to death with my klaw but some of my guildies keep trying to use rokkits (killing me usually in the process) so maybe I can actually stand them trying to help me!
Fun fact dead shiny rokkit has less eratic flight patterns making it easier to hit targets at range. Also means it doesnt do as many cool round the corner shots as before.
Dead Shiny Rokkit has really changed my view of ork anti-tank. Since I got it, I can take out vehicles pretty reliably. Not at the same rate as a melta or a fire warrior mind you, but quickly for an ork!
Rokkit+super stikbomb is the best ork AV at the moment, because every other build is either too easy to take out after being noticed by enemy (and they WILL notice you as it takes sooooo long with every ork gun to get a vehicle down) or otherwise totally useless after killing your target (zzap gun for example). TBH I don't think ork AV is bad, I think other factions AV is way too good because melta over performs so much.
I agree with this, vehicles dies a bit too fast. The speed the orks can take them out at seems more right.
