I am constantly setting priority to High or Realtime. Massive improvement. Old Core i7. I also recently set PhysX to GPU (was CPU for some reason) . Not sure if it improved anything, though... I recall getting freezes a couple of month ago. Now, I don't. Maybe 1 or 2.
You know funnily enough, it's JUST THIS PATCH I've started having the freezing issue. I'm not really that willing to fool around with my operating system (win10), and my game runs on full screen anyway. My freezes last upwards of 20-30 seconds sometimes. The apps I have open are Chrome (to this forum), Steam, TS3, and/or Spotify, and/or X-Split. Really not that demanding for my rig afaik.
I just picked this up and I was seeing constant stuttering and video lag. I found a reddit post about altering some .ini settings and setting High Priority in task manager and that seemed to relieve the vast majority of these issues. I have been playing in Full Screen the whole time.
Just to add an additional report: This works like a charm for me! Before the game was unplayable, now it works at a steady framerate (not the best, mind you, but that's my rig, really have to get some upgrades.)
wanna bump this post coz of ... this is still a problem ... and alt tabing shoudnt be a solution here.. still got this problem on my pc i5 2500k @3.3ghz gtx 960 12 gb ram its happen after last patch...
Hi guys I uninstaled the antivirus and it did help a lot I had Avast, a freeze from time to time but not as before
At the moment im useing steam -high for the Fortres matches are played a lot less frame freezes there are some but only on big fights. There is some lag i still can empty the hole clip at some and he just walks away turns ans 2 shots me. For the scrmish battle i didnt get in any 20vs20 battles only on 15x15 the framerate was a bit better but , I ididn't have problems with those maps before. So i really can't tell right away need to play a bit more to say its done anything for the game.
