Hi there, tactical player, just started using the Apothecary loadout, and I've noticed that a LOT of people have trouble with targeting the narthecium needle to give it to allies. It takes some individuals like three or four tries before they're able to get it right. Fear no more, I have the answer. I've been able to apply Narthecium with almost 100% accuracy. The trick is to get as close to your target as possible, and not to be aiming at your target with your targeting reticle, but instead to almost "jam" the model of your character's right arm as close to your target as possible, so in general, you actually end up aiming significantly to the left of your desired target. This will allow you to heal your target almost every time without the trouble of having to position yourself. In other words, try to position your character so that your right arm is as close to/inside of the target you want to heal. This will almost guarantee 100% healing accuracy. Cheers brothers, see you on the field. PS. For those of you that don't remember or haven't seen a thread about it before, you can get your team mates up more quickly after healing them with Narthecium by using a light melee attack. This will give them freedom of movement sooner than if they were to wait for the "getting up" animation manually.
Yeah the developers have fucked up the Narthecium targeting even more now, early on it was OK, then they messed it up and you had to move the crosshairs onto the guy you wanted to heal... I hope that one day they will unfuck it.
Yea it was briefly and I mean briefly somewhat mentioned in the latest stream that they are aware of the bug for the Narthecium. They need to fix it soon and should have already. I took a break for a while when I left had no issues targeting when I came back some times have to rescue then heal, so annoying.
Still not gonna stop 'em from fucking off when you're at 90% on the bar though. The Apo needs a blowgun or something, seriously.
I'm running around as an apothecary with 97% hp, another apothecary is chasing me for heal points. Does it in combat, I'm frozen and can't move and we both die.
Even better when the "frontline healer" decides hes going to jab you in the middle of a firefight...while there's a grenade at your feet.
For some reason, I find it easier to share a medkit or ammo pack as a Tactical than I do using the Narthecium. I usually end up just using the heal grenades.
That's because your aim has to be dictated by how the player model presents the item. The ammo packs and healer packs are held out straight, while the narthecium comes in from the right side. That's why I've been telling people not to aim with your crosshair but with your right arm on the player model.
