So, Warhammer 40k: Eternal crusade is coming to to the next gen consoles. This will undoubtedly make the game more popular, but i can't help but wonder... This is an MMO, how are you gonna chat via consoles? Granted, both consoles can voice chat via microphone, but this is an MMO, the will be thousands of players in game. So it could easily turn to be a Slaanesh voice hell, plus consoles are not really famous for using a keybord and mouse, so writing messages will be sort of a problem to. What do you guys think?
That certainly would be a pain in the ass hearing 400 voices shrieking in unison. Other than forcing players to use keypads/keyboards with their consoles I don't see any other way except voice chat or voice recognition typing. That could pose for some amusing mishaps with the voice recognition.
Squad chat (10 players per squad), then Squad Leaders can switch chat between with squad and with the other squad leaders within their strike force (100 players (I think)). Then strike force leaders with squad leaders within their strike force, other strike force leaders and war council members. I hope that's the case anyways and can chat go between all consoles and computers too. Really hope Sony & Microsoft are reasonable in their decision making with Behaviour.
