No but your opinion on the importance of it has no basis in mechanical reality, it's feelings based, not fact based.
So you're going to dismiss it because you disagree on the importance of cosmetic rewards in video games?
Honestly surprised this hasn't devolved further and been locked already but then again bans have happened in the last month round here so that might have helped. Also any one know if guild banners can ever be a physical banner in game that you can wear if your a squad leader in game and are a (captain/leader) of guild that would be nice to have.
I believe the idea has been mentioned by the devs, but I highly doubt that it's a priority of any kind right now.
I'm going to dismiss it because whatever importance you personally put on dress up doesn't translate into a gameplay advantage or disadvantage. I can actually think of legitimate substantive arguments against it, you just haven't provided them.
I think I'd rather just agree to disagree, actually. You see no value in cosmetic rewards, so you deem it immaterial when one is denied. I see value in cosmetic rewards, so I consider it important when one is denied. Our opinions will never be reconciled, because we fundamentally differ on what is important in a game. What more could there possibly be to discuss?
No, I just think you're wrong and here's why. It doesn't effect gameplay, therefore if you join you gain no advantage from the reward itself. That someone who values cosmetics would desire the item then that means that the idea is working because you're given an incentive to join. Furthermore, I've already told you an obvious exploit to get the item and not have to be in a guild, you can A) join and quit immediately or B) Create or join an inactive one that exsists solely to get a meaningless cosmetic. Your value of cosmetics therefore doesn't change the validity of your argument. You're not being forced, you're not going to be disadvantaged, you don't even have an argument based on an inability to get them.
Yeah, uh, can you explain to me how I'm supposed to formulate an argument you might accept when you continually reject the idea that cosmetic items are important?
