Primary Class Choice (including Potential Classes)

Discussion in 'Eldar' started by Angelic, Nov 8, 2014.

?

Which Class?

  1. Confirmed Aspects (DA, DR, SS, HB, FD, SW)

  2. Unconfirmed Aspects (Warp Spider, Shining Spear, Shadow Spectre)

  3. Confirmed Non-Aspect (Warlock, Wraithguard/blade)

  4. Unconfirmed Non-Aspect (You know.. Harlequins and stuff)

Scorpion, probably some dragon and hawk when scorpion isnt a viable option. Would love to play Spider if they get added.
    DreadForce83 likes this.

Fire Dragons, for the sake of going fast and use of melta weapons. Ideally, we'll be allowed to boost to Exarch so I can start using a fire pike on everything.
    kalilionaire and Dragonkindred like this.
  3. Whether I go Eldar as my main or as an alt, I can't decide between SS or DA...guess I'll have to take em both out for a test drive before I decide

Howling Banshees are my favorite (I'm hoping their Triskele weapon will be in the game could be primary or secondary) then Fire Dragon and Dark Reapers. But Warlock is appealing too plus I tend to fall into a support play style anyway.
    EDIT:
While not much is known right now, I figure Exarch would be similar to how SM Veteran and CSM Chosen work. MichaelChan talks about those here & here. (2 different posts in thread "Hey Michael! Tell us about Progression and Economy!")

Banshee atm, the big draw for me is what I imagine their playstyle will be like.
If we go by how they have been showed in other games(of all kinds)

    Pros
    - High melee damage (Force weapon madness)
    - Vey fast on foot and acrobatic
    - Has a short range stun/disable/confusing mechanic via their mask

    Cons
    - Very fragile and that is saying alot when we are talking about Eldar (no offence)
    - Weak ranged attack obviously because they are melee focused

    Pro/Con
Takes time to learn to utilize properly (which is fun to me)

I like both the pros and cons since they create an interesting character to play as and I cannot wait to see how bE is gonna pull them off gameplay design wise.

All that being said I will probably play what is most needed since the Eldar classes are so specialized, but defiantly going Banshee when ever I have an opportunity to do so.

    Badass!!!

I'm glad I made this thread.. It's a nice indicator of generally how the spread of classes will most likely be at first instance. Of course I expect it to shift when people start to play just because they might find other classes they like, but at least we won't have a billion Warlocks running around. It seems to be about 1 in 3 compared to other Aspects (Confirmed and Unconfirmed) and about same including Harlequins etc.
  8. Dragonkindred Dragonkindred Arkhona Vanguard

I'd have to agree with you there. Though I expect that a lot of people will be playing all the classes, depending on what is needed at the time. I know I will be.
  9. There is no room for mercy when it comes to these Mon-Kies.,the War path of Vengeance is my destination. (though i really like the idea of Rangers and the Outcast varient so every chance i get i'm going for the Outcast Ranger)
  10. Main class is gonna be swooping hawk for me, followed by warlock as im a nice guy and like to give support half the time and kick ass in the other half ;) and other classes when needs dictate
