Why does he have to attack everyone? The other factions have their own idols. Let the eldar have their matchstuck man and the orks their twin fools. We dont have to balance every part of lore the lore does that itself.
Magnus might be interesting, i want to see him and the Thousand Sons seriously damage the Space Puppies, the ensuing battle would be glorious
im speaking gameplay wise, unless there is an event where each factions gets a unit like that, that just kinda roams around and screws stuff up (angron, avatar of khaine, living saint,........ what would orks get?)
I'm going to reiterate what SonOfLorgar said and state that no race actually has an equivalent to a Daemon Primarch; second only to the Chaos Gods themselves, just one of these demigods literally bring whole systems to their knees, putting them in the game would make them way too OP. All in all, i dont really think there should be any semi-godly beings (Daemon Primarchs, Eldar Avatars, etc.) in the game, MMO games come in many shapes and sizes, but they all demand balance, and putting super-OP units like THAT in an MMO is clearly folly, just my two cents
i agree, i dont think they should be put in, im just trying to think of ways that if they did, it would not be super game breaking, but yeah, putting one in would be unbalanced as hell
Only way for primarchs to be implemented in the game in such a way where they WON'T be OP, is that they'll be extremely boring NPC-WoW-Style bosses that even newer players can kill, which has been already stated. Either that or they will be at the back of an army, shouting warcries and stuff like that to give a morale boost to whatever Chaos Legion/Warband they are with at the time, but they will not be engaged in battle in any way
Oh, and to answer the hypothetical question that if Angron was in the game; yes he could attack everyone, since he is a Daemon Primarch of Khorne, he "cares not from whence the blood flows, only that it flows", which means he can attack imperials, chaos soldiers, eldar, orks, etc. because he doesnt care who hes killing as long as hes killing something. the Battle of Skalathrax is proof of Khornate Warriors' willingness to kill anything that moves
as it turns out he did pop up on a world... called armaggedon you can read about it in a piece of lore called the Emperors gift. He didn't attack every one in sight and he was defeated at great cost. No end of world or fracturing of reality. As a matter of fact what was left of the world was worth fighting over 2 more times. Read up on lore please. Those of weaker caliber who fear adversity should not by default limit those who wish to fight under all circumstances.
If one of the Daemon Primarch's took the time to manifest, then the game would be finished because we'd have already conquered Arkhona and all the other systems. Daemon Primarch's are a bit powerful after all, I mean, they were Primarch's, but now they're immortal! What's one more planet to their eternal crusade?
