Well, in the books he's described as a rather capable fighter(not the best, but don't forget that whoever is left standing will likely be badly beaten and wounded). He can also sacrifice Omegon so that other Primarchs think that Alpharius is dead.
That's too straight forward for Alpharius, he would indirectly convince the last man to commit suicide or break their will to where they get up and leave like the Raven guard Primarch, then as you mentioned fake his own death with Omegon while being cleverly disguised as the janitor that cleans up the bloody mess then fade away into the back round never to be seen again until next time.
I might have read it wrong but I thought he lost deliberately to show that angron did not think about his chapter working as a team and that he just was a blood maddednd killer. Yes the kharn and Mortarian went toe to toe in the book scars at the end of the book. It would be interesting to see what pertorabo would be like against them all, as he did defeat fulgrim in deacon mode. Another character often forgotten
100% true but we're looking at the ones that are the LEAST batshit insane. Oh I wouldn't say that on these forums. These LSMs are VERY sensitive when it comes to their primarchs.....
Truth. I'd give it all to Russ in the end, but I don't think Magnus was given his fair share in the HH. He purposely lowered his homeworld's defenses and let Russ "kill" him to avoid becoming the Daemon Prince he saw himself become, but ended up just falling for Chaos in the end so meh. The HH would have likely ended VERY differently if the Thousand Suns stayed loyalist. But yeah, I agree, either Russ or Angron. I'd lean towards Russ, though. Horus only had the Chaos Gods to match the Emperor, and even then he didn't stand a chance because the Emperor essentially just said "you know what, screw you" and vaporized him in the end.
You gotta give pertorabo some loven. He's hard as nails, took out a demon fulgrim even when fulgrim was stealing his life force he still over powered him. The whole of his life he could see the eye of terror. But never fell to chaos that in itself is amazing. He went to chaos to destroy terra and his daddy not for any personal gain, Even now he does not abide by the chaos gods in that he is not God specific but that being said he is not warped by chaos. Pertorabo is the guy you could beat the crap, out of but he would just keep getting up over and over again and eventually he would break you just through sheer force of will.
