Team voice-chat will not solve anything. - Not everyone has an appropriate mic that will allow others to understand what the fcuk is it barking there. (The ones got himself muted on his guild TS if such) - It does not have any region restriction, so it is international, how much of you может пояснить за базар tai edes lukea mitä on kirjoitettu täällä? (The guilds filters the ones that can't understands them) - Where are the guarantees that the pugs will do what them was told to? And so on. I dont want to join any kind of guild to be able to play. I'm pretty happy with the solo-random queue as it is. So you can get your guildassses whereever you want far away of my solo-random.
Often queue solo. Often stomp premades. The last one I stomped tonight was a Space Marine premade from a clan with a prefix of C. I went out of my way to hunt them, because its fun wrecking premade squads in melee. They had an apothecary who was a bit handy with a chainsaw, but the rest of them were a bit trashy. I knocked up 34 kills and our pug side won the day. Good times. If I had lost to the premade, I would have just shrugged my shoulders and queued up solo again. Because I'm not a man-child with such a tiny amount of self-worth that getting spanked by a premade sends me crying to the forums.
This thread is about guilds that queues themselves with 5-20 members together against full-random teams.
The whole reason it's fun is because the learning curve is so high. Seems like a lot of split opinions here though and about equally split. Guess life isn't fair.
Reinstitute ingame team voip, or at least at squad-level. Add easy-access mute toggle to scoreboard or squad menu. The argument that "X has never solved anything and thus should be removed entirely because I couldn't imagine a compromise" is dumb. Can you think of any worthwhile shooter that doesn't have these features? Even MWO eventually implemented it and pug drops improved immensely.
Just came out of a game that's a typical experience for me regarding groups/guilds.... Enemy team has 2 largish guilds, one of these guilds is quite well known i believe, we have one, a group of 3. The other team dominates the map, essentially the guilds just play melee classes and spam fast attack as a large group and because they are facing randoms they always outnumber their opponents 4/5 to 1. There's nothing competitive or fun about that, just saying......
It can, has and will solve plenty, it's only limitation is individual choice. Lets be frank, most people in 1st world countries speak English. And unless they choose to ignore you, chances are that the people playing in your time zone will speak your language. I've not seen these hordes of Russians you speak of, if your team chooses not to use the tools available then don't expect sympathy. There is no guarantee it will work or your fellow gamers will listen, bu it's a competitive game. Compete. All you can ask for is the tools to win, which you mostly have. And nothing I have said involved playing with a guild, it all involved basic tools at your disposal as well as everyone else. The game is not designed for you to go play Rambo so if you want to try it's up to you and you alone to Git Gud. Sorry, but playing as a team is the design intent, isolating people for playing the game as intended is a non-answer. I'm quite aware of the topic and I reject your solution and instead offer alternatives. The idea is to expand the game, the proposed idea is contradictory to the long term goals.
The friendly fire mechanic in big battle dosen't help because it is in favor of an organised squad and not a pug.
dude dont you have any friends to play with? or why dont you join a guild yourself? why would they do anything in favor of pugs? that would be a deathblow to the game that is already in agony. The guilds would leave this game, and it would be left with a player base of 50 to 100 people who think teamwork is OP... Have you tried playing alone against a full football team on the stadium, that would not be very competitive either... Jesus people, if you dont like being stomped by those that got organized, you got to organize yourselves or die, that's how online games work.
