I'm afraid I don't get this train of thought, VI kicked my ass once and I want to play them again because of that. I don't give a shit that they had a premade, they had the same tools I did but played better.
Thats exactly the problem why should anyone have to get a guild to be able to do well let alone play with competent people? *sigh* I miss MAG. didnt need some guild to fight other guilds. for some reason everyone on that game was extremely competent.
It isn't my opinion segregation is good for the game no. If you re-read my previous post, i'll quote it here: It certainly has some problems of more concern, but this is still a concern. I also disagree that you cannot learn how to play the game without a guild, that logic makes no sense. Certainly guilds will elevate your win rate, and organizational skills, but you can still get better at a game by playing it, or even watching videos on how others do, reading tips etc. I also take issue that someone is 'lazy' because they are not in a guild. Some people don't have the time for it. Some people prefer not to be in a guild. Lazy doesn't seem to factor into it. I think you mean, solo. Personally I can farm XP faster outside of a premade than I can in one, so I see no need to change my own playstyle till my characters have leveled up. Some of you will understand what I mean by that, some not. At present the best course for the average pug player when they see an 8+ premade is to switch matches. I have no problem doing that personally, so for me personally this is a non issue. Many people however would rather the matchmaker did this for them, and why not, seems logical if they are going to swap out anyway. For others or new players they will just experience frustration at losing a hopeless battle. When, or if I do join a guild, I will not want to be fighting an enemy who can't win, I don't get pleasure from that. I like as close to an even match as I can, and you are much more likely to get that with a guild vs a guild, or a premade vs a premade. In conclusion you don't get better faster fighting worse opponents. Your argument is actually backwards. You get better fighting better opponents. None of that makes any odds however, changes that are good for increasing the playerbase, and a new players experience, are good for the game. -edit I assume some of you have played WoT right, and how it tries to put platoons in together when it can, well that's what I am proposing.
Well the Squad leader always knew to set the damn waypoint for one. Of course that was because the squad would kick you if you didn't.
Thanks! I just though it was a good joke! Personally...Yeah, whatever. I mean I don't mind running up against a guild, hones my skills if I'm not playing with my guys, lets me learn their secrets the more I play them. I know playing against a guild rustles some peoples jimmies though. My opinion is it's a team game, designed to be a team game and made to be played by teams but I'd be happy to see premades filtered off where possible. We're in guilds because we want to fight in an organised way and it's more fun fighting against another organised side. God knows why you'd want to lone wolf in a game like this or not join a guild but more power to you if people want to do that. Just stick the ingame VOIP back so those people use it (or not).
To be fair it started fairly interesting although appears to have devolved into whining On the VoIP thing, have no issue if everybody wants to use it as long as there is a off/mute button but I think the impact of having it in PuG's is going to be pretty small myself
I don't want to lone wolf actually - if nobody else is doing it then I try to lead and guide my team as much as I dare and can. What I'm against is the concept that anyone who wants to enjoy the game should be forced into a guild and premade warparty in order to actually enjoy gameplay. Fighting a few guilds members isn't usually a problem since they can only hit one point at a time but when the opposing side shows 20+ guys from one guild, not even the best led PUG is going to have much say about how the match is going to end (maybe on Maggon, that place is a mess). I was going to reply to this but I think I covered all my answers above already.
So when we get to bigger matches like 50v50 or even multifaction matches, how would this plan to isolate clans and premades work? Premade of 50 has to fight the other even if they have less players? Or do some players have to sit out until the next premade match?
