Pre-order would probably be some digital items, like class unlocks, cash for cash shop, special titles/wargear. Collector's Edition? Meh. I've been disappointed with the few games I got the Collector's Edition of, don't think I'd risk this game being bad and having spent $100 on it.
Think you're confusing space marine with dark millenium or did i miss a memo? anyway this thread is about the future, and yes the game is a long way off still but the popularity already generated still allows for subjects like this to be discussed now.
If they're going to go with boxed sets to buy, a great Collector's Edition would include: ~Standard Game Disc ~Security Key Generator (to go with tough password credentials required by BI.) ~Mouse pad ~Art Book ~Music CD ~ Making of video ~USB that's shaped like something from the game/Warhammer 40k ~In game customizable armor unlocks, token for faction or account wide ~Special Title ~Unique name panel. (I.E. when someone targets you you don't have the standard looking nameplate.) I can think of more things to add but it all depends if they'd want to do faction specific Collector Editions. Seeing as they may have a Founders style program this might be redundant but it could also compliment it.
Yes, but people still lost their jobs and that is nothing you should be gleeful about. THQ was full of amazing and talented people. Back on topic - in terms of physical collect edition goodies, I like your usb idea Phalen. And I could really use a new mouse pad. (looks at ancient worn out rag he is using for a mousepad)
Collector's Edition with chosen faction theme as Pre-Order, i'd choose Eldar version. Includes: - Guidebook/Lorebook/Codex of chosen faction and Eternal Crusade (other physical stuff don't matter to me). - Digital stuff based on chosen faction, ie. unique tittle/rank/gear/etc. - Early Access. Stuff like that.
I never said I was gleeful. People losing their jobs is very rarely a good or deserved thing (as with everything, there are exceptions). That said, THQ *as a whole*, irrespective of how many great people it had at other levels, was dying in terms of quality long before it died financially. If it had died at it's prime, then yes, I would have cared more.
I'll only be interested in the Digital Deluxe Edition if there is one. I don't need more Collector's Edition artbooks and soundtrack CDs cluttering up my apartment. Look at them once and then never again usually. But if they include a cool statue of a Dreadnought stomping a Killa Kan or something else as epic them I may need to rethink my position.
Collector Edition Game early access Artwork Soundtrack Exclusive in game item Poster Figure something like that i guess
