Orks as well? Damn! Where's the Eldar and CSM versions? I want my smashy smashy fist! CSM's best unique is good until you realise it is outclassed by an apoths standard weapon.
This reminds me of when Plasma Cannons were the go to weapon. You couldn't even have a "good" Fortress raid without getting a charged Plasma shot to the face. Back then I called it "Plasma Cheese". For this? I will call it "Cheese Fisting"... and yes, it does sound wrong.
I think this problem is down to the fact that rhinos are still our only forward spawns so destroying them has a massive effect on the attacking team. Powerfist does give up a lot to be good at AV and it does destroy vehicles slightly too fast I agree but I would prefer different forward spawns and only tweaks to the fist. Currently iirc it takes four heavy attacks to the rear of a rhino to kill it. These can be chained so I would say perhaps increase it to five hits. And perhaps prevent the haywire effect from stacking.
Yeah CSM should have the fist equivalent too but the LSM one doesn't do any extra damage (don't know about ork one) but it does give huge lifesteal from vehicles. I think Eldar melta bundle is compensation enough for this weapon that they don't need an equivalent.
I think the problem is alot less the PF, even though the PF is plenty strong/effective. It's more the JPA, like it always is.
