Dude I'm not after a tutorial here, I've been using the Klaw since it's been in so I think I'm pretty adept with it. I know how good our pistols are but if I want to kill someone with a gun I'll use my shoota thanks. The Klaw is useless and the reason is pretty simple - we have other weapons with the same, if not faster TTK that are way cheaper and can fully utilise the RPS system. Tell me why I would take a 500 lp Klaw that takes 2 hits to kill someone with the incredibly slow fast attack when I can take an electric choppa, chain choppa or even the fuckin base choppa that will kill someone far quicker with those weapons and actually have a chance to compete in melee? If you spam RMB you will be stun locked and battered or shot to death. Your durability destroying argument also assumes we're against a tac equivalent, what happens when you come across a melee specialist? You die because they will Dbash and beat the shit out of you. I should also mention that the Klaw "fast" attack is so slow it doesn't counter heavy attacks most of the time it merely clangs them. Thus we don't even get a reward when the enemy makes a mistake. It is so bad.
1. I was just trying to help, I'm sorry i'm not psychic and not totally aware of your play history with the Klaw. 2. Refusing to use pistols while a melee class is poor play. If you do, see comment 1. 3. In a one on one duel, I'd be impressed if any weapon didn't break in 2-3 hits, even Dbashes against an impact modded power klaw. If it's not a One on One duel, then you're screwed no matter what melee weapon you have. The Klaw isn't any worse off, and no other melee weapon increases your survivability from dying in the time of 1 dbash stun. 4. If you and your opponent both start attacking at the same time, I would very much doubt his heavy attack hits with your fast as a clang. Of course if they've already started the heavy, you might clang. That was the problem with ork choppa blades' original animation, the heavy was so fast it caused clangs with fast attacks, shattering weapons far too easily.
I'm just pissed the Klaw is terrible at destroying vehicles now! It's zoggin' useless with the delay on the strong attack! Guess it's time to dust off my Zzap cannon. I'm pissed I couldn't test this out in UAT and let them know how shit of a change this is.
Fast attack clanging against a strong attack? That sounds more like a global problem rather than a power klaw one
In my opinion they should make every melee weapon as fast as a power sword. Dmg etc. should be adjusted accordingly so that a higher LP cost of a f.e. powerclaw results in more dmg, durability and AV capability.
We don't need a vid, it's pretty plain to anyone that they are drastically different. Not really, most weapons don't have this problem because their quick attack actually fires at a decent pace, rather than taking an eternity.
If they leave power klaw at the same speed, I wouldn't be opposed to them cranking the impact numbers so high even a fast attack has higher impact than any heavy. If for not other reason than to illustrate the idea that the klaw would laugh, then break any other weapon in half should it meet another in combat
