Power Attacks costing Stamina - Deeper Melee?

    How about this:
Make new button for separate parry and bash?
Parry - deflect melee RMBspam, don't spend weapon dur(if parry light attacks) but don't land bash status.
  2. I think maybe the stun is shorter for Orks to make up for the fact that heavy attacks from Choppa Axes seem to have built in stuns(that I don't think I've ever seen on any other race).

Also, I've killed people with Klaw Dbashes QUITE a few times, stop using that pansie git weaponry :D
  3. Actually all the tier 3 weapons stun on heavy attacks. This was made to follow up with a fast attack, so eating a slow charged attack would mean a big thing. But now the orks have charged attack that is as fast as the heavy attack.

The D-Bash does always 30 damage also, it doesnt matter what weapon are you using.

  4. Ah, thought maybe Dbash was effected by weapon. Hmm...we could turn up Dbash to 45-50 damage.

I don't think I've ever experienced a stun from a heavy on my Ork. Probably because I'm usually just straight up dead from one haha.

Personaly I think the ranged could use more stamina, but then you would have a whole bunch of balance issues as well between factions, its not a easy thing to tweak at all....

Maybe if we have a point blank shot damage increase or a increase in damage during stun animation (dk if we have this already) ? If not I think this would be a more viable solution then messing up with the system itself.

    Dbash is 50 dmg already.

Overall, suggestion seems like a duck-tape fix for xenos melee. Marine factions abuse rmb spam already and this will not affect them in the slightest.

What should be done i stead either is removal of dura penalty upon clanging with heavy using fa for fa user. Or plain interruption of a heavy.

Melee doesn't actually need to be "deeper". The rock paper scissor (+dodge) system is actually fine for complexity. The real issue is the bugs surrounding the netcode/desync/whatnot that makes the system fail constantly. I give up after a few matches of running into the same people over and over who just fast attack through d bashes and get to win every fight and dominate the match because they ignore the system. More complexity isn't better. Smooth and functional is better. The trash netcode makes melee feel bad, which is what generates most of the complaints.

  8. Ow this is the second time I said a charged attack is as fast as a heavy attack on the forums . But yeah, tier 3 weapons do that and I will quote patch 22.

  9. Nope, 30 damage. 20161004130821_1.jpg 20161004130753_1.jpg

I think the biggest issue right now is that DBash doesn't appear to work 90% of the time if you opponent hits you with a charged attack right from the off. I've been downed on so many occasions where I start a DBash and because I was charge attacked I somehow become stunned and my bash is cancelled leaving me effectively up-shit-creek when the melee user starts linking attacks from then on. I don't assume this is intentional, considering the DBash is intended to stop your foe from walking in and just owning you like a wee child. But, the stamina idea simply doesn't work. I remember when we had it and it just made melee a mess and 100% ineffective at beating ranged.
