I never said anything about how much skill it takes to use a JP class, because I can totally agree that it does take a lot of skill (hence why I suck using them).

The thing is, your op was going on about how the SM needed amour that was comparable to the TT version, which spoke to me as you saying "why can't I soak up all the bullets with my face?". From my time here, I've heard a lot of people put the blame of a lot of the Ork and Eldar stuff getting nerfed because new players played SM first, asked that same question, and then complained about it.

Granted, I often find myself making comparisons between the TT version and this game at times. We probably all have. It's just a case of whether or not the mechanics between the two versions translate very well. I for one think the Swooping Hawk Lasblasters are a tad too strong for their role (tbh, I think the Hawks and Dire Avengers should swap weapon DMG stats tbh).

I don't know much about TT, but AFAIK units have some kinda costs in TT, and these costs probably aren't the same for all classes. For balance, in EC all units have 1000 (or 1400 for vets) LP. Thus it's pretty obvious that the classes can't be balanced the same as in TT.

If I did that, I'd be in hopsital soon after getting spiky bits removed from my face and hands.

Hey maybe from now on you should give your tabletop Power Armour marines a 5+ save, it's cool to play with your nerfed Marines? I still win games with JPA, but I just think it is fun to get more hp or Armour, while rebalancing the weapons to make it feel just right, it's more fun to play storm shield GA for me currently and I get the Crusader commendation sometimes.
