Reasonable short term things, not "fix the server lag" etc, that's not a hotfix. Mine: Orks -Fix Power Klaw Fast Attack(no bias here) -Either up Ork melee swing distance or nerf everyone elses down to Ork levels. I should not get chased down sprinting while someone LA or HA spams. Can't do it on my Ork, everyone else can do it TO my Ork though. I would prefer everyone brought DOWN to current Ork levels though. This would be an indirect buff to ranged then. -Lower Rokkit charge time by .35 seconds Eldar -Reduce Emboldens damage mitigation(I'd list a % but I can't find what % it's at right now) Something small though, nothing major. For example if its 15%, change it to 12%. -Reduce Hunters Mark ROF by 50% and decrease mag size by 5 -Eldar Vehicles HP reduced by 5% across the board LSM -Increase LSM starting armor to 115 -Increase Bolter damage by 2 or 3 -Increase Bolter min/max ranges by 3M each CSM Honestly....I don't really have anything. While they are definitely strong, I feel like everyone is still able to stand ground against them. I don't even play CSM so no bias here. Note: I am hestitant to give them the Armor buff that I list for LSM due to the unique nature of CSM marks/sigils already in the game. I guess they would become affected by the Bolter changes though as well. General -This ones tricky because I don't know what would be easier to code, but end result would be Melta's doing 50% less damage to Vehicles than they are now, either by nerfing their damage(unlikely) or by making Vehicles more resistant to them(more likely). MULTI-Melta would remain unchanged because god knows it's not used. I don't want to hear about "leaving your vehicle unprotected" when a FD can sprint by like a bat out of hell and do a drive by Melta burn and half your truck HP is instantly gone before you even get out. And that's not taking into account Melta Bombs(and I wouldn't change them). Share your thoughts folks.
I agree with pretty much everything, except a couple points. With the Eldar vehicles, they are very resistant to rokkits and melta due to their mobility, but they can't outrun lasers. If lascannons were the meta, we might see less grumbling about them. Not saying your suggestion is wrong, just that it's working off of incomplete data. Bolters don't need a damage buff, they need an accuracy buff. If they had that, they would be quite lethal, and it would set them apart from other races while being quite fluffy.
I've only been playing a couple days, so I can't go into many specifics. That said: The number of rockets fired from the Eldar class with the charge-up launcher should be reduced. Let them keep the damage, range, zoom-ability, all that. 3 rockets at max charge, though. The flying Eldar class should either have near-unlimited flight OR a highly-accurate long-range weapon. NOT BOTH. Space Marines should have their whole health/armor system re-balanced. Not in terms of numbers, but mechanics. Armor should not regen, health should. Power Armor sustains the wearer and heals any wounds they receive instantly with copious amounts of drugs and mutagens. Instead of damage going through armor, then effecting health, it should be split 50/50 between them. Health constantly regens with no delay, but only kits or medics can repair armor damage. When armor reaches 0 health no longer regens. It should take consistent damage to kill a Space Marine compared to other classes, and they should be able to maximize being able to duck out of an engagement and 'catch a breath' more than other races. Because of how fast kills happen in this game it wouldn't effect most engagements, but right now Space Marines have no defining 'trait' or tactical advantage which they can utilize like the other races do; and this would give them one.
My inner pain is when I choose to SPRINT at FULL SPEED as a GIGANTIC WAR FUNGUS and some hoebag with a car door and hedgeclippers can chase and catch up with me BY MELEE ATTACKING THE AIR. WHAT!? WHAAATTTT
I want the damage buff for bolters and plasma guns! Currently it takes too long to bring someone down. Accuracy is not the issue because it's at very close range and it still takes most of a mag to bring down some opponents! Especially if they're being regened. On that note I would also like to see regen rebalanced. No regen for any faction should be able to out heal the lowest damage main weapon in the game.
They should rework damage mechanism. Armor vs Unarmored. Explosive vs direct. Explosive damage such as Plasma Canon round exploding on the ground should do REDUCED damage to armored characters, or specifically while a character's armor is still intact the damage of explosions should be reduced. This solves plasma canon one shotting a group of people. Orkz can get extra HP, even more extra HP, but unless they are a Nob they should be unarmored, thus they can soak up a lot of damage but vulnerable to certain weapons (make different loadouts mean something, so you can choose the occasion for certain weapons). Physical rounds rush as Bolters should do Armor Piercing, extra damage to head shots and not reduced by Armor status. Energy weapons, including direct hit of plasma and las should do extra to Armored and normal to unarmored. Weapons that are not powered weapons should do reduced damage to armored, powered weapons should do extra. Both do normal damage to unarmored. So Orkz with extra hp with unpowered weapon would not be OP in melee due to extra HP they have. Headshot should also get a damage bonus buff, races with low base HP (Eldar) should get one shotted if shot to the head. Orkz should barely survive a head shot (lore friendly) and marines should also barely survive. Vehicle weapons should be energy plus explosive, deadly with direct hit and even though have an explosive radius it shouldn't blast entire groups of enemies with one or two shots but should heavily damage them. Things like Vindicator's base damage is so high armor reduction shouldn't be meaningful so it still one shots everything.
The resistance to melta, rokkits (and Klaw I might add) due to mobility also effects lasers. If you can't lock on to the vehicle because it is too quick and nimbly jumping behind cover then you can't hurt it. Yes lascannons are probably your best friend, but Eldar vehicles laugh at all AV really. E - as to the OP (oops!) I'd say they need to sort out optimisation so I can properly see what's going on in a fight before I talk about balance I haven't played as many games as you guys but from what I've seen Warlocks are also very strong now, their blades/animations don't seem to follow the normal RPS rules.
Embolden needs a minor nerf, really? That shit is plain broken, eldar under embolden are literally immortal in melee(if you dodge and block you literally cant be killed if its not a OHK) and almost immortal to small arms weaponry. Embolden is one of the most broken things for eldar right now and the only "saving grace" is that its not spammed much unless you are fighting a clan stack. And this is not an excuse for not nerfing it.
DO NOT touch the Autocannon. I think as far as weapons go, it's possibly the most balanced heavy weapon at present. Sure, you can score 1shot headshots if yer lucky and aiming, but direct-fire it's a great stopgap between fast-firing suppressing HBs and more specialized, heavy damage weapons. What I will say is that the Loyalists probably deserve an Autocannon variant as well, with maybe a slight model tweak to make the Chaos ones look closer to Reaper Autocannons.
Time for some armchair developer speak! I want baseline stat adjustments and everything OP mentioned. Especially fixing the Powerklaw...just make it identical to the space marines damnit.... General Performance issues fixing like all the freezes people and I have been reporting Veteran classes have 50% better basestats than their normal counterpart Veteran Iron Halo and equivalents now cost 400 Loadout Points Fixing issues like how I Dbash someone with a food or head in the face he can still dodgeroll away or not even get stunned. No invincibillity frames on dodges (I swear there are Iframes or this game has a lot of lag) Cash Shop prices slashes: (I'd buy the lot of it for all factions with prices like these. I'm not touching the current cash shop with a 100 foot pole) torsos 2.5k (so you can still have the scummy practice of needing to buy the 10 dollar bundle for 2 torsos) helmets 1.5k shoulders 1k legs 1k boots 1.5k weaponry 5k Orks: 300 HP 100 armor 200 toughness Powerklaw fixing and removing the 100 yard sprint attack on powerklaw, have it the same as SM/CSM Tankbusta bombs (aka super sticky stickbombs) attaching properly Space Marines: 250 HP 150 armor 150 toughness Let Boltguns do a bit more damage, 42 or 45 damage per shot in favorable range of the weapon. Stormbolters should have double the firerate of normal bolters CSM: Same as Marines Chaos feels pretty good to be honest Eldar: HP 150 Armor 100 Toughness 100 Warlock Embolden tweaking as OP suggested NERF THE SHIT OUT OF HUNTER'S MARK, that thing is THE most OP piece of garbage I've seen in any game considering the relative power of all items in the same game That's all I can think of now. Honestly when the game runs smoothly it plays really nice.
