Pretty soon we're going to end having to fight LSM vs LSM if we want to get a match. To combat this, I propose bringing back the overpopulated notice that we had in alpha. On top of that, give a 5-15% requisition bonus to under populated factions, depending on how outnumbered they are, to give players incentive to try other factions or dust off unused characters.
Yeah....WH40k is it's own worst enemy. Too many LSM/CSM players/fans to ever do anything more than that realistically. I mean...look at the spread now...can you imagine if we add a 5th, 6th, 7th faction? Eeesh. Other games have tried incentives but it still inevitably ends up not being enough, people get tired of queues or being outnumbered and either roll with the zerg or quit Looking at you Warhammer Online(such wasted potential...sigh).
I will hang up from this thread..... -We actually need the F2P style in some way, rather Imperial Guard with their spicy like more quicker than LSM same resistance as the Eldars and diferent playstyle (Comissar healing everyone by just shouting on them.) -The progresion in this game right now is poor, i can count people having rank 6 in every character right now: -More content is on the way ETA we dont know yet, next year Termis, in 1 -2 months campaings, possible 2 years new Faction. Answering the "if is F2P what happen with the people who buy the game", i have the idea like "what if every style of class/character is unlockable via requisition point like a champion or heroe in a moba, so you need 5k for a Fire Dragon (just an example) instead of buying the crate of 5k you buy the class/character. So the F2P people start with one free Faction (IMperial guard/Tau/Dark Eldar/necron/gretchings, grots/heretics) and from there they unlock the other factions, and so on and so on. NOW i know right now this cant be posible because is a lobby shooter. Bigger factions will be actually helping to the poor population i mean: Lsm+IG+I = Imperium CSM+Dark Eldar + X = Chaos Eldar+idk+idk = IDK Orkz with their subspecies = Orkz duh -A single player campaing of 3 maps would be good for the people to understand the objetives, and explain more about god damn Arkhona. -What we do in this Planets affects the lore, i mean right now its just a lobby shotter to pass the time, the same with other games, i am bored i enter arkhona i match i lose or win whatever then out, nothing happens.
How in any conceivable way would giving Imperials a free to play option possibly address the population imbalance? Oh I see you have 50% of the pop of a 4 faction game, you know what you need? More players.
Would probably make it worse The answer to THAT is that F2P only get one faction while we get all the factions, as was the plan before Miguel lost his contract and Nathan found out Miguel's "open world with Free-2-WAAAGH" dream didn't have any actual progress
Parhaps introduce sum sorta team up matches ta' quell da uvva' low population factions until a suitable solution be found parhaps? Orks and Chaos vs Space Marines and wot 'ave ye 20 (10 Orks and 1o Chaos) Vs 20 Space Marines, 20 (10 Orks and 10 Eldar) Vs 20 Chaos, etc
Ork Boys for Orks. Guardians for Eldar. Cultists for CSM Guardsman for LSM. IDK though, Eldar were always gonna be the smallest faction.
Giving LSM Imperial Guardsmen would literally destroy population again because you're combining two large factions together. (IG are very popular after all) Maybe Scouts instead.
I'd say give dem beekees dem servo skulls as free ta' play units, but oomies luv servo skulls and would flock ta' it
