I wouldn't say warparties is solely at fault here, remember the queues are long enough with it as is. And they're alleviating it next patch anyway, or so I've read.
Uhhh..its still like double or more for me. NA evenings during CST used to be like 300-450 average. I don't think it's been below 700-800 since the F2P "beta" started.
Well, if you want to go warparty, you go "ranked" matches, if you just want to play for fun you go "friend-party" of 3. Solved?
You need to be able to play with friends. 2 or 3 players is perfectly fine and even 4 would be ideal given the size of the matches.
Well, if you watch EC twitches you should notice that the devs hold guilds in high regard. Making special banners for them, playing with them on live and so on. Since the start the devs kept saying that its tactical shooter and teamwork wins. Best teamwork = friends. I do not say that something shoudnt be done about guild vs pubs, maybe lower war party to 10. So in 20 vs 20 or 30 vs 30 it wount have so much influence..Otherwise - how for guild members to play together? There are like 20 guilds at best, with numbers high enough to get people into guild vs guild match. Various time zones (USA, EU guilds) lowers possible opponents even more. What I see as a solution - give debuff to the guild team. Like that new trinket. If you have joined random match with big team, you all get +50% dmg increase.
Easier than that restore VOIP and give proper Tools for pugs to play together. And off course join a guild!
The point is having an online game in which you cannot play with your friends is terrible. Even more so because its a team based game. The toxicity would get worse, Game experience would decrease
So you want me to stay like this? Plus I only said popluation is back to average Downside - fail to retain new players Good - server stablize Conclusion Developers gotta bring something to impress new players
finally someone who understands clans are toxic for keeping the playerbase full of new blood. whenever i call out clannies for being a bunch of pansies for not fighting other clans they say it's balanced... yes because stomping a whole team of 20 or so randoms as a stack of 15 on headsets is "balance"
Well, actually lets wait and see how f2p will evolve instead of posting concerns on every corner Lets wait 1 month, let them finish the whole f2p launch (not current beta with keys) and than lets talk about future. 1 month wount change anything for us.
