not a good sign, but it's not actually f2p yet. not on steam for example. as we all need the keys still
Good thing too, server is much more smooth and no lag. Bad thing is that this game Failed to retain new players. Devs surely gotta do something to inspire them back to EC..
I'm going to be evil and say I hope this game dies, because very very rarely I'm okay with cutting off my nose to spite my face and my Eldar's is all punies now so with shitty laptop fps despite a GTX960M I cannot play well.
Shhh we aren't allowed to talk about the sealclubbers, they have the backing of the Devs, thread will get locked if you do.
cmon man this game is one and only right now! TPS shooters that support all 4 factions. how come every wh40k video games are grim as dark as actual wh40k? well dow franchise is not bad but rest are just too underrated(they desreve underrate though :/) Space Marine... Deathwing... Kill team... and EC... Looks like wh40k is only good in tabletop.
Yeah well what did people expect with this game allowing pub/clan stacking matches. No ones going to try a game that clearly has a huge imbalance problems made 10x worse by all the 'veteran' players abusing the long know bugs and FOTM's that new players are not going to know the meta of. I watched the elder simply slaughter new LSM players with their transport/tanks... what kind of game does it look like to new players when a floating tank gets to lawnmower groups of people... doesn't look like much of a shooter looks more like a hot pile of unbalanced vehicle mess. And yes blagh blagh blagh there is ways to deal with it but that's not my point there is a ton of bad exploits/bugs and clear flavor of the month items in play. I mean how many 1HK weapons do we really need? The game went light F2P play and most people tried once and got a bad taste in their mouths. Devs want to fix it, then make matchmaking not stackable. You know who would care you can no longer bring 7+ friends to stack a match? No one but people who are stacking the matches... and it sure as shit aint the new playerbase your trying to recruit. You want people to try your game and not get stuck into matches that are so clearly skewed for one faction then what is the point of playing? People if you want your game to have an actual player pop then they need to make it actually player friendly. Most Matchmaker system games don't allow stacking in random matches. This game needs to take a HARD relook at it's matchmaking system before it actually goes full F2P. My suggestion is allowing a completely separate and random MM one that does not allow war parties to que for. A 'random battle' button. That way it simply throws together random matches between the four factions. It won't allow you to pick a match off the world map and would be a great asset to the new playerbase instead of the current system of clan stacks vs pugs being the only choice. Just a thought I know that since the player-base is small the devs would be leery of segregating it as is.
I guess I should create a thread later about what this game really need. Game is surely improving but something. the CORE is missing...
