sounds like a copy paste of the dark angels if you ask me, but it takes a lot of reading to really find the unique trait in each chapter
How? Dark Angels are known for teminators and bike squads from what I've seen. Raven Guard are hit and run, and stealth. They use a lot of assault squads and lightning claws. That's why I kind of want someone else as the fifth chapter even though I love Raven Guard. You can be similar to Raven Guard with some of the current chapters.
Space Wolf Blood Claws and the World Eaters Legion were doing that long before the Black Templars ever existed. Dorn was a fool for ever splitting up the Imperial Fists. Says the World Eater Black Templar.
I think it was a good idea but I'm not well versed on anything Dorn. He knew that the Crusade would never end. Defying Guilliman could have started another war so he made successor chapters that could do what he thought was right. It was a sound plan to begin with although I'd prefer if the Imperial Fists were the size of the Black Templars and the Templars closer to Codex size.
I agree with Murtag. BT may be cool and all but it'd be just the same thing we'd see with the Space Wolves or Blood Angels. Berzerk run and bash. I'd enjoy seeing the Raven Guard or the Salamanders the most due to the "unique" traits they have. Some lightning claws or flamers would make a difference.
I feel like the current chapters cover most of what Raven Guard do, beside stealth. Salamanders or Iron Hands deserve some spotlight.
oohh no. That may be there primary attribute, but they can pack a punch in ranged combat. And remember who brought you the land raider crusader...
I didn't realize lightning claws and flamers were chapter specific to the raven guard or salamanders also, why are you even on this forum? all I see you do is troll every single thread you walk into and you're talking about space marine chapters whilst using an iron warrior avatar!
Well, Dorn initially refused but after the Iron Cage changed his mind on this. Guilliman (who wasn't at the Siege of Terra, so fuck him) initially called Dorn a traitor for refusing the Codex. Guilliman was being backed by Jaghatai and Corax (how he did this has yet to be satisfactorily explained to me, given the Scars and the Raven Guard's combat affinties), and Russ stood behind Dorn on his refusal. I support the idea of the personnel numbers between the two to be swapped. I would also prefer that the Fists retain their siege affinity, but latest supplements seem hell bent on erasing any unique characteristics of anybody that isn't the Ultramarines. Something wrong with using a IV Legion avatar when I post on things regarding Loyalists? Really? You have a problem with that? The Black Templars have (to me) the ideal setup of being fleet based, since logistical mobility is a huge factor when fighting across vast distances, and their complete disregard for the Codex brings a smile to my lips. But their single-minded nature of assaulting everything in melee is both tactically unsound and other organizations (Legions/Chapters) were already building dedicated units for that.
thats a steriotype and is not actually 100% true, and examples of the fact that it isn't can even be seen on tabletop, with their old codex(i dont have the new one). Their units CAN advance D6" whenever they pass a leadership test for losing a single guy, but they dont have to, and can move as much out of a 6 rolled as they want. So you could equip a crusader squads with only bolters, heavy weapons, and scouts with ranged weapons (as apposed to CC wep and pistol) and have them serve as a DOUBLE SIZED tactical squad, with even more weapon options. AND they are the ones who first used the land raider crusader....
