Yea, they retconned that one the same way they retconned the fact that we're now the only chapter that actually worships the Emperor as a God.
no. the first and only BT codex has a rule that they hate psykers, and they cannot field librarians. They do not however, hate navigators or astropaths. For one thing, their psychic powers are not meant for destruction, and they are easier to control. They also need them to do ANYTHING at all.
Sadly that Codex is obsolete with the new edition (even from a lore perspective), it specifically says "For all rules purposes, consider these references to instead refer to detachments from Codex: Space Marines using the Black Templars Chapter Tactics special rule", and the new edition's Chapter Tactics do not have any unit restrictions. If you want to keep to the fluff then naturally you don't have any psykers, but now there's no new rules saying you HAVE to. Heck they can now bring Devastators and fully equip a Crusader Squad with bolters. All this can easily change when they inevitably make a BT Codex again. Also for them viewing the Emperor as a God, it's on page 50-51 of the new Codex.
The Flesh is weak! Iron hands all the way. Playing as an Iron Father and seeing the Clan structure in game would be awesome. Plus the chapter's organization seems to be inline with how the war front structure would be. And want to see more Machine Cult influence too. Second would probably be Salamanders, but I'm pulling for Iron hands.
Yeah black templars wouldnt stand a chance against grey knights, like the whole chapter/legion of twmplars would just get rinsed by the knights
