My vote would have to go to the Blood Ravens, I find them to be pretty cool, like their battles in Auralia, as well as their not stolen artifacts. Post has been edited by Blood Ravens to make themselves look good. But really, I like those guys. Gabriel's quite awesome.
I'm kind of disappointed to see Black Templars so far ahead. Don't get me wrong, they're awesome in the lore and game, but I think they're an awful fit for the game. Namely, Black Templars don't have Devastators, the Chapter doesn't use them so to keep to the lore, an entire class would have to be locked to the player for picking the Chapter. Secondly, all they really are in game mechanics is a melee focused force. How do they stand out against the Blood Angels or Space Wolves? Oh right, black armour (not counting the Death Company of course). Again, I like them in the 40K universe, but for Eternal Crusade I would call them a horrible fit compared to the Salamanders, Raven Guard, or Imperial Fists. I hate the Iron Hands so I'm not counting them.
I dunno though, Black Templars in my opinion are often seen on par with the founding chapters, evidence being the Templars given their own chapter tactics in the latest codex; they are unique enough to get their own treatment.
That is true. I'm not down playing them in the perspective of the 40K setting, I'm just saying that given the Chapter's fluff, I don't think they're a good fit for this game
Well, the question is simple The answer is Obvious. BLACK TEMPLARS. Because nothing beats the awesomeness of black_and_white looking and thinking zealots that don't ahve any problems with ethics morality and all that buttcrap. They_just_get_things_done IN THE NAME OF THE EMPRAH!
Maybe I just don't get the Black Templar favoritism, nothing against them as a Chapter but I'm one who would rather see other Founding Chapters in first for a myriad of reasons. As stated before, BT have multiple lore issues that would have to be overcome for as to WHY they're here and why they'd actually fight with other Space Marines AND their Librarians/etc. Imperial Fists, Raven Guard, or Salamanders seem like better choices, imo.
