Please don't turn this into a Fists vs Templars war. All I will say on the matter is that we need sons of Dorn to fight the spawn of Perturabo. Doesn't matter what color they wear.
I'm fine with the Templars, but if I had a choice for starting Chapters I think the Imperial Fists fit the game better then the Templars. Add them in later.
Youre just talking flavor. "This guy does this, this guy does that". Nobody is "better" here. A poll is based on popularity.And there you have it.

I don't give two orkz about who the hell is winning the poll, I don't even care that there is a poll as they generally are easy to discount for various reasons. Imperial Fists > Black Templars. Leave the Orkz out of this, thats my army and EASILY better than Black Fists, Ultra Templars, or any of dem other fools.
Numbers could mean nothing if all the fanboys are just making alt accounts and voting to try and make the Devs think that BT have a majority.
The reason I added them for two reasons: one is that they were mentioned several times in another thread and because if I hadn't Imperial Fists would have just won flat out anyway. Even with the inclusion of the Black Templars into the poll the Imperial Fists lead the other Chapters in votes; so if the devs only want First Founding Chapters they still have their answer.
IF they give different chapters to play the way their are described, then BT SHOULD be at the bottom of the list. Close combat is covered, deep strike, assault, etc. All the basics of what SM's do is covered. I personally Want RG in, I don't think it will happen, but if they can't be in please let it be a chapter with a Niche, that specializes in something not all ready covered. Adding the BT's for launch won't make us a well rounded faction IF they play to each chapters specialization. IF its comes out that a SM is a SM and your chapter choice just decides what your color scheme is, then whatever bring in the BT as this will obviously make a lot of people happy. I hope this is not the case, I would love to have a 'point' behind which chapter I choose to play beyond liking the lore and color scheme. I want my choice to fill a solid tactical role as well. Something tells me that a SW, BT, BR, would not excel at infiltration. The DA's might be able to do it as hunting down their shame has made them learn to work in shadows, but still not geared specifically for that role. Same argument for the Imperial Fists, any chapter can set up defenses and lay siege, but none will do it as aptly as they do. OK, good talk.
