Oh Yeah. Not having my veteran die, I do that. Sometimes I'm a little too cautious, which isn't beneficial to the team.
Attempting to rally fello chaos randoms into a cohesive fighting force and shove orders down their throats until they realize it will win us the game if they follow. Hey at least most listen even if they don't reply to my chatting. Follow the vets!
I play with a similar style with team games in general. I put the team's needs at a top priority because winning in EC gives me more enjoyment as I don't derive that much fun from the game itself, it's too clunky and ultimately frustrating for me which is why I don't play that much. It has enjoyable moments now and then but that's it. That's not to say I just gimp myself out 24/7, I want to have fun too, but if no one else is destroying that Rhino and it's posing a real problem I'll do it. What makes it difficult to try and play to win in EC is the lack of information. I need to know how long the enemy needs to win on capping, I need a better minimap, I need scaling UI, I need something else other than spamming Q to notify allies about losing a cap, etc. It's difficult to communicate and difficult to know what's going on which is a terrible combination to have.
IIRC there's voice chat on the UAT, they'll be readding it to live soon enough. And by readding I mean this time without causing CTDs. As for knowing how long the enemy needs to win, I just generally stick to this If the bar is ~75% full, the enemy has 2 points and 5+ minutes, they're going to win If the bar is ~50% full, the enemy has 2 points and ~5 minutes, they might lose but it'll be very close, possibly down to a few seconds If the bar is ~25% full, the enemy has 2 points and ~5 minutes, gg they lose just hold that last point Has anyone calculated the exact progression rate of the bar with different numbers of points?
1. Fun/Win 2. Examine what needs to be changed/what could be added 3. Practice so that I may one day lead the followers of chaos as Warlord/Dark Apostle (Big fat chance, but a goal none the less)
Because they obviously were?(a lot of balanced R v M patches had them and so on) What should buzzle your mind instead is why we abandoned them now.
Depends on the Game. I usually try to main as a Squad Leader and organize some action, wether that is with my Guild or PUGs. With PUGs, the results are often less than admirable... Like trying to hold a conversation with a wall, one could say. However, I do everything I can for my team. If defense is needed, I dedicate myself to it. If I can see a spot where harassing/distracting the enemy is needed, I do that. I do so love how I can gather up a whole bunch of marines to chase after me, a single Swooping Hawk who drops in/out of melee, preferably from behind. Sometimes I'm brawling, sometimes I'm driving. I quite like focusing on armoured gameplay. Best stuff ever is to pick up a guildie to gun in an Eldar tank, grab myself a Fire Dragon, drive the tonk into position and leave a friend gunning while I go slap bombs on metal bawkses. Most of all, I'm here to have Fun. I try to challenge myself and do my best. I don't chase after scores, though on Eldar I'm no stranger to scoring first.
The evade attack lunge in particular at 0:34 is crazy. I would not consider that 'obviously' okay in any sense of the word. That's my opinion, you can disagree if you want, I really don't care.
