Agreed, cap interrupts at the last moment when the enemies attention span has lapsed are gold. Also there's what I like to think of as nuisance capping. Travelling point to point starting captures we may not need just to divert attention. If they aren't vital I don't usually stick around, except maybe to kill the first responder once or twice. This usually elicits the response of having them go in force to interrupt. Meanwhile I'm somewhere else going for a capture I can support or nuisance capping something else. Tactical's role is absolutely to capture and defend the points to 100% as early as possible. Later on, draw the enemy into a cat and mouse game forcing them to move when they'd rather be fighting. Tactical is theft and shenanigans which is why I love it.
Coordinate team well and steamroll the opposition with JOLLY COOPERATION even against all odds. Especially against clan stacks as pugs. Except when the enemy is the one against all odds. Then I just kinda do a pacifist scouting thing instead of fighting because it's sad and unfair. But otherwise, I love fucking with people as a Swooping Hawk. Having the ability to escape from any situation is pure gold for shenanigans against the enemy.
Its also better when you are a big bright blue smruf wearing golden relic armor doing that. As for me i generally try to cap it for real as it hurts the enemy more when i succeed. If i fail then oh well it tangled them up longer when i try then when just leave after a few kills. Best part if hiding in the same building and then doing it again but only when i am absolutely bored/lazy to bother with respawn or am just felling like channeling my inner spiritual liege..
This game really needs some non objective based gameplay. Just straight up kill the other guy fun. I dont care about winning or losing then.
Thats just giving all those JPA, power sword and Road killers spammers their ticket and would give no reason for any sort of team work.
Gotta love those gold armour accents. It's why I have the heresy shoulder and legs, for that gold rivet bling.
Step 1: Acquire points. Step 2: GO BATSHIT INSANE WITH RAGE Step 3: Collect 'Executioner' award. That's about it.
Well if it was a tight indoor complex with no roads or vehicles.... Like assault on the research lab or defend the underground bunker.
I want to win obviously, but having fun is very important. Sadly having fun happens far less than it should.
With how limited matches are with the timer mechanics. There really isn't any time for any other goals than capture/hold points and win. Unless your working with guild-mates I cant really expect Loyalist randoms to have the coordination to win matches. I really do wish there was time to enact strategy and clever tactics, but the game is one giant sprint-fest for point domination.
