What are your goals in a match? Choose as many as you like....

  1. Win the match

  2. Put up a good fight, having fun, win or lose

  3. Get as much XP as possible

  4. Get a specific match award or score (e.g. Executions, Healing, Top Kills etc.)

  5. Capture/Hold all the things!

  6. Something else - comment

What makes a good match for you?

Unfortunately polls are limited to six responses. I would have added
    • Seek and Destroy all the Vehicles
    • Grind the Xenos/Lapdog/Humie/Mon-Keigh filth into a fine paste
    • Grab a Tank and go on a Grand Theft 40K rampage, squish squish!
    • Supporting a well organised group assault or defence
    • Hunting solo, hampering the other team wherever you find them
I have no interest in personal glory. My primary goals are winning the match or putting up a good fight win or lose. Usually I'm Tactical, so capturing and holding points is normally my thing. From time to time I enjoy using a tank to go on a rampage where the map and situation permits it. I'm not concerned with XP, awards or kill scores. You need XP to advance your gear, but I certainly won't waste my time seeking it.

The absolute pinnacle of a match for me is when a small group defending a point prevail over a massive onslaught from the enemy.
  2. If I play against eldar I prioritize blowing up their tanks, it is very satisfying.

To crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentation of their fanbase.

I think for me they are all applicable...although I typically measure my own success based on kills. As a striking scorpion I'm always behind enemy lines killing heavy support and what not. Kills for me are a direct correlation to success or failure, whether I could sneak up effectively and be unseen. Usually if I do my job right, I kill two heavy supports until someone notices and I run, or an assault unit shows up.

I'm usually not in a group too often, and if I am, I protect my own support lines, so that has its part to play as well! There's always plenty of JPA that are getting to support lines, so if I'm patient and wait I usually do good protecting others as well...although it does get boring.

    Axe + Elf Face x 100 = happy

Can be 100 Elf Faces. . . Or one Elf Face hacked 100 times. both are good.

Sneak cap as a relic power armor wearing tactical against my foes. I love doing that and its an icing on the cake when i finish caping about 50/50 of the time. My most fav parts is when its on normal matches as i am defense i just sneak in interrupt enemy cap points and watch them cry. Most memorable one was against eldar when half way to match they had all 3 points and i mange to repedely cap, decap and recap enough times so that they were just a silver of the bar away from wining but they couldn't get enough points due to be doing the tactics above, the rage from the eldar was sweet sphyponhy.

Normally I'd say play for fun but due to the heavy objective focus and very annoying interactions between players gameplay wise I'd say winning is the focus.

In other games where I could be more of a free solo entity impacting the field I had a blast but due to this games focus on teamwork the best way to show you did well as a team is to win.

Plus all the clunky movement makes for a pretty hefty solo enjoyment detraction.
