Where do you stand on adherance to the WH40K lore for the game?

I do not prefer to change the lore at all...but with sometimes they can not avoid some things that will cause problems. So i prefer that they keep it with some small changes.

Being who I am, I will have to say that minor changes could possibly make the game more enjoyable.
Abit of innovation has never hurt anyone! (... but the purist, of course.)

Everyone of us has its own vision of how wh40k lore is like, as there are many contradictions Inside the very lore fonts: for example, the Zeist Sector campaign after the Third Sphere of Expansion (SM codex: SM absolute victory! Tau codex: SM phyrric victory on a bait sistem!); or several canon conflicts of the same edition...

So, they will definitely take some licenses over the 40k lore that will not satisfy everyone of us, so not to change nothing isnt a viable option.

I will be happy if their licenses doesnt go to far

Yep. Even all 40k-games and novels have their own version of the settings. No one can with certainly say what exactly is correct, and no one can apply with 100% accuracy the rules of the 40kverse.
  6. In the end every change or stray from established lore must be for a good reason. For example the devs are not forcing the ultramarines to follow the codex. That's just plain heresy lore-wise, but for the sake of gameplay and not forcing players to play a certain way it makes sense.

One thing is to change the outcome of some obscure campaign, the other is porking lore for profit. While we probably will never see a codex Marine squad assembled in a multiplayer game ("I want the rocket launcher!" "I want the flamer" "I'm a special snowflake veteran sargeant with jump packs and a nemesis force weapon!") or slow progression from scout to devastator to assault to tactical marine (although that could work as a sort of narrative tutorial). Still, would be nice if there weren't too many dreadnoughts running around and land raiders exploding left and right.

Although with MMOs, shitty gameplay is worse than HERESY. I will never forget or forgive Dawn of War II.

Lore and Gameplay has to go hand-in-hand!

BUT! Minor changes are okay as long as the Team tries to be honest to the Lore I am fine, but please! PLEASE! Do not re-write history, let the players write history with their battles! Perhaps make it even in M42 to let people write true new history but based on the old one.

Anyway if it comes to lore I hope they can stay as close as possible to it

I've never read much on the Blood Ravens, what's been done to them?
