Where do you stand on adherance to the WH40K lore for the game?

  1. How upset would you be if the devs stray from the lore and take a little artistic license with how the universe works in order to present a better game?

  2. If it's 60% true to the lore i'll be happy.

  3. That would work for me, too. I suspect they will be forced to make some changes simply to make the game more entertaining. Personally I think following the purist path would make the game far too rigid.

Hmmmmmm as much as I like some change here and there I do want the game close to the lore as possible. I'm really kind of mixed in opinions.

Definitely a purist myself. It doesn't help that 40k Video Games generally are god awful lore wise when straying from canon(look at the abomination that is the Blood Ravens chapter).

Im personally a huge fluff nut, so id prefer them to stay as close as possible. that being said I understand the process of designing a game, and this being an MMO format ill definitely relax in quite a few areas. So far though looks like there doing a decent job keeping with fluff. As long as granny good-shoes doesn't request Wulfrik the Butcher to clear out the ROUS out of her basement im fine.

There has to be a compromise between the lore and game play.

Personally, The 40k universe is vast and great- for reading. actual application into this form of media makes for an incredibly rigid, and quite possibly unsatisfying game. I believe that if they tweak a few things, the game would be better for it. Besides, the universe is an ever-expanding cloud of awesome, who's to say that a few changes wouldn't be able to fit in?

It'd completely depend on what they'd do.
