nah, they could function as an elite class-similar to how terminators are planned to work. IMO, thats the best way to implement them.
Honestly I hope they include an easter egg with them. Showing their armor or name would be a break in the gothic atmosphere in the game but a simple "I once fought with our yellow armored brothers. Not the Imperial Fists, the ones that are angry all the time." I'm pretty sure I said the same thing earlier in this thread. Oh well. echoooo
I'm fine with them as NPCs as well. Really I'd prefer it. If they were a hero class they would be mixed in with the other chapters as certain players equip it. The GK are not only a separate chapter but their squads rely on each other far greater than other chapters do. Each squad links up psychically which gives them a major advantage and is possibly the greatest weapon the GK are equipped with.
In some threads the Imperial Fist's have it as the fifth chapter, in anothers threads the Salamanders... Who will be victorious?? ... Only the emperor knows!
Not sure If I voted on my old profile, so I won't vote incase I boost the count. But I will say I would rather have Imperial Fists. Honestly, I feel like they should have been in there to begin with. Which chapter they would replace though, I'm not sure.
why cant they just include all of the first founding chapters add Imperial Fists, Raven Guard, White Scars, Iron Hands, and Salamanders. for chaos, add Alpha Legion, Red Corsairs, not sure what else--gotta stick with warbands/legions that are not god specific, so perhaps sons of malice--though they technically are god specific..so thats a problem. methinks fallen would be a REALLY cool addition--perhaps that could be a large part of the story, thus why there would be so many chaos fallen. though that would still be somewhat strange. i GUESS the crimson slaughter could be in..*grumblegrumble* alpha legion, red corsairs, crimson slaughter, are the ones that could be done as an undivided/non-god-specific legion the fallen, sons of malice, chosen of (the now resurrected) nemeroth are ones that would be less easy to implement lore wise, but are still undivided/non-god-specific. i would prefer the fallen not be implemented as an entire faction though. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Chaos_Space_Marine_Legions_and_Warbands_(List)#.U3ThcmJdXTo http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Renegade_Space_Marines list of chaos marine warbands/legions ^ for eldar, all major craftworlds for orks, include all six major clans as well as freebooterz the problem is that then, not all factions have the same number of sub factions.
