Thats not... forget it, I dont want to have my great and magnificent powers to derail the thread any further.
in my defense its not derailing, the thread is about dual wielding weapons, and i want to see dual shokk guns wielded is that so wrong?
I think everything should be dual wieldable, barring point and skill/talent restrictions, so if.you have the points, go ahead and dual wield those meltas, you just wont have much else.
You should only be able to Dual-Wield one-handed weapons, such as pistols and one-handed melee weapons, though you usually mix them together (Pistol and Melee). But some are able to dual-wield two pistols or two melee weapons (usually because they're carrying third weapon of the other type). Plus you can do a Dual-Strike with two one-handed weapons, even if one is a pistol, though if you're using two of the same melee weapons (two swords, two axes, etc.) you should get an extra benefit for dual striking. Of course there are those veterans who have learned how to "True-Grit" certain two-handed/hand-&-a-half* weapons one-handed. This is usually either a boltgun with a one-handed melee weapon, or a two-handed/hand-&-a-half* melee weapon paired with a pistol. There is a consequence to this, the two-handed weapon cannot be wielded as well one-handed as it can two-handed and becomes handicapped (the boltgun loses accuracy and range possibly even has a reduced rate-of-fire, the melee weapon loses strength and speed), this handicap would extend to melee combat as the unwieldiness of the two handed weapon reduces the users ability to strike and negates any ability to Dual-Strike. But technically you shouldn't be able to Dual-Wield weapons that require full use of both hands to wield, such as Heavy Weapons. *Hand-&-a-half weapons are weapons that can be wielded both as one-handed (though with some loss of effectiveness) or two-handed (at the weapons full capacity). Boltguns and some forms of Thunder Hammer could be considered Hand-&-a-half weapons. You may even be able to Dual-Wield them, but at a greater cost to their effectiveness than using a combination of a one-handed weapon and a Hand-&-a-half weapon.
