I'm comparing the crutches the "master race" tries to ignore when it boasts about their capabilities and superiority. Both those which seem to be frequently present within PC heavy titles and the hardware which makes taking headshots for them easier. I was completely fine with the majority of this conversation until, and I apologise if I have somehow misread this, the question of player skill was brought into this suggesting PC users were superior.
First and foremost for your own sake and saving face, dont ever compare cheats to anything, you will never derive an argument from that. A chimp with autism will be a good player with an aimbot and a wallhack, so noones implying superiority here cause of cheats, i dunno how you even came to those conclusions. Second and what i will try and clarify with is that players are saying KB+M is more responsive and allot better suited for shooters, which i will wholeheartedly agree with. They provide an easier way to get good at something due to how much more functionality and precision they give a player who does this. The delusion you might have picked up on somewhere from someone is that they claim they are better players just cause they play on PC. They probably might be wrong and if you place them on a console with a controler they might suck ass, heck they probably will against people who actually use controlers frequently. But the same will happen to an inexperienced controler player getting on a KB+M the first time. That being said it doesent change that its allot easier to master KB+M and that i believe some things KB+M has shown that they are capable of wont be replicated by controlers ever (again my opinion, perhaps in a decade it will differ). There is for instance no countervideo with a controler being used to the: View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q76UNcuKSVY If there is feel free to shove it in our faces, twitch gameplay as it stands now is relegated to KB+M, not controlers. Saying that, this game wont require this much twitch skills as Quake but the aiming difference will still exist and so a difference of effort to become highly competitive will exist as well. To conclude since im just repeating most of what me and others wrote, the argument can go on forever. My verdict stays the same, if you wanna play without crutches (again aimbot is not a legal crutch) or any aim assits i welcome you all. Otherwise if aim-assists and the like see the light of day theres no plausible reason why an inevitable shitstorm should be brought upon this title and should separate PC from the consoles to avoid that.
Most PC gamers never have nor will ever use crutches, I'm not sure where your misguided perception has spawned from.
I always find it silly when people say pc gaming is so much more expensive than console. I bought an 830 euro computer. It has been many years. And it still servers me well. You buy a 400-500 euro console. Almost half price. But do you want to know where I will win? In a few years, you will have spent a LOOOOT more money with a console. Because console games are ridiculoulsy expensive and overpriced. All the games you get for 60 euro, I get for 20 or less. Most of the games I buy are less than 20 euros. PC gaming being expensive is a very very silly argument that simply is not true.
Word of advice, dont let others get parts and assemble the comp for you (which im assuming is what you did with that high of a price). Its quite easy to get into the know-hows of putting one together yourself and saving ALLOT of money (id shave off 150ish euros off that if we arent talking the best current gen parts).
No, It's my own fault, I had misread one particular part of your last post, namely the bolded word: "i deem that first video with that child screaming "please let me kill something" not full on proof cause the KB+M seemed not to be the only advantage, but the skill difference too" I brought up the mention of aimbots and the hardware because any K/D ratio ultimately comes down to things beyond the player. Elements, legal or otherwise, which make life easier for them on the whole rather than there being some innate difference in basic ability between console or PC owners. I apologise for wasting time. I'll believe that when an easy search does not bring up countless ones for every game imaginable. Or when having better hardware can be seen as a crutch in of itself, generally making life easier for one person rather than simply learning to improve with the game.
Yeah if you can build your own computer it's great. I built my own a few years ago and because of how stagnant the graphical improvements to games have been over the years my hardware still holds up and I can play any game on the highest settings. I don't see this changing over the next few years either Unfortunately most people can't build their own computers and don't want to take the time to learn how even though it's pretty simple. It's understandable for these people to look at the convenience of a console and buy that instead.
Your 'easy search' then somehow extrapolates to 'majority of PC gamers'....amazing. Someone get this man a degree in Statistics ASAP. Burden of proof is on you, bro, to show hard numbers supporting your rather outrageous statement. Other than, of course, 'hurr google search'. Which doesn't really prove anything other than the existence of aimbots in PC gaming.
Calm down guys. Bloody hell, you'd think that you were arguing about something that mattered. Trying to keep this thread marginally on topic I'm going with PC. I was an adamant console gamer but about a year or so ago I built myself a PC and I'm completely sold on it.
