I'll be going with PC because I'm tired of all the competition going on between Microsoft and Sony, and how much the consoles are looking more like online TV and social media platforms than gaming Consoles, besides i already have a Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii anyways, so there's that. I actually got myself a custom PC like 2 years ago than one of those built in models that Companies like Intel and HP like to give out to people, so now i can enjoy more high end graphic games like Just Cause 2, Borderlands 2, Dawn of war 2: Retribution, etc. I don't really consider myself a console peasant or a PC Master Race, I like to consider myself more of a "Gaming Enthusiast" someone who actually enjoys all forms of platforms and uses them like they are intended to be used. So I'm more like in the "Grey area" of gaming consoles so to speak, like the grey Knights from Warhammer 40k for example!
Think i will be playing on pc or ps4 or whatever sytem having most players, any talk about cross play between systems btw?
Not really. But hey good for you. As I said, you won't change my mind as it is based off what I have seen and done. Not what others tell me they can do. So that should about wrap it up as far as I am concerned.
If you are insanely good with a controller, you might be as precise and fast than a kb&m. However, most people using controllers are way less accurae and fast. I dont see how anyone can deny that.
By the sounds of it some of the PC guys might want to not bother having it cross platform...that way they can circle jerk...I mean stroke each others egos
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/ms-killed-pc-xbox-cross-platform-play While this is a scientific paper dealing with player enjoyment of a game depending on kb/mouse or gamepad it does have specific references dealing with a direct comparison of kb/mouse vs gamepad (section 2). http://www.academia.edu/1480363/Mea...Controllers_on_Player_Experience_in_FPS_Games Here is another professional article: http://www.techhive.com/article/246176/can_a_gamepad_beat_a_keyboard_and_mouse_.html Here is another scientific study comparing mouse and gamepad, specifically focusing on target acquisition (what the mouse is mostly used for in anything that has a target reticle). http://www.sigchi.org/chi96/proceedings/papers/Mithal/Akm_txt.htm There are MANY MANY MANY of these scientific studies that have been done. At this point, it is unquestionable and unarguable that mouse/kb is superior to and gamepad when dealing with targets or where precision matters (so, FPS, TPS, etc). At the same time there are some games/situations where the gamepad perform as good or *slightly* better than kb/m. Now, the good news is that mice/mb can be connected to all the current consoles, the real question is 1- will you do it, and 2- is the game designed to take the input on the console. How does this affect you personally? The general answer is, as the first study above proves = it doesn't. If the game is well designed you can enjoy it with either. If you enjoy using a controller on the PC or a kb/mouse on the console, that's great. The real issue, and rightfully in this respect, is if the developers add an auto-aim/assist/etc that helps controller users because of this difference. If there is, then people rightfully have room to complain. Me? I use both, depending on if I'm playing on the console or the PC. The PC every time is simply a smoother, cleaner experience, no matter what the game is. On the console, it's not an issue because everyone is using a controller (well, used to be the case anyway, and it's still fairly rare to find people or games with kb/m support on consoles), and sometimes I just want to sit on the nice comfy couch with a controller nestled in my hands and play.
