I know they do that with all of the ork stuff that they don't feel like doing. I know with the pioneer pack they told us to refund... Fun fact I've asked for a refund twice and they have marked it as solved and said I'll get the stuff when it's added to the game. Also there's been no update on if the 2 base weapon types are ever going to be added to the game. Before Brent left he said that they were still planned but had 0 updates beyond that. The last we heard was a year and a half ago that they were in fact their own weapon types being the plasma gun equivalent and the kombi shoota would alternate between shoota and rokkit but the systems were not in place but they were both coming before launch. Since then though 0 updates if they have been cancelled or not.
Well, they also said we would have Singing Spears before launch, as they would never launch the game without the pricey Relic Weapons being ingame ^^
The delay on a singing spear is understandable. It requires an entire new set of motion capture, animations, rigging, stat balances etc. The Looted Umie Bolter, for example, is just a freaking Shoota skin. Still not in.
I know, but they still said it would be out before Launch ^^ There is no excuse for the Looted 'Umie Bolter as it is merely a reskinned Shoota, as you say. What I don't get is why the "rolled back" some of the stuff from the large "Everything is available" Test they made, as there were (among other things) a Burst-Fire Shuriken Pistol and Scopes for the Lascannon in it. Why the heck did they remove that stuff?
Nobody gets it, they never tell us any real reason as to the "why" of their actions. But then again, none of the Founders ask about it in the Forum Twitch Questions. Perhaps I'll do that next time.
Actually I've asked a few times in the twitch question threads around 8 times. They tend to skim right past the question as if it wasn't asked so that they don't alert the wider audience to the issue at hand. They do this with a lot of stuff like when being asked about the missing ork weapon types, missing ork cosmetics... Shit they just recently answered something about the pioneer pack and it wasn't even a legit answer they just kinda said ask for a refund and you get it when that doesn't happen the support just says you'll get it when it's added and mark it as solved... If you ask a question that isn't related to eldar mandiblaster or a LSM related question they'll ignore it... Look at the past 5 streams they have taken the same questions over and over so that they don't have to give any new information or they just flat out ignored questions about giving updates on things. If you ever ask them and get a proper response it will probably be along the lines of "reasons out of our control" or "the game engine just didn't play well with them" or even "they just didn't work properly" none of which will give proper reasons as to the why but instead are just used to dodge questions most of the time.
Yeah several of my questions have been glossed over without a real answer several times. Incredibly annoying as all hell.
Yea that's what triggered me the other week. I'm honestly sick of never getting a straight answer they just gloss over them with something that has no relation to the question and move on... They have done this so many times it's to the point of being infuriating when they do it.
Yeah, I must say their attempts at "transparency" in their game development come off as half-assed when they do that. I know I've been triggered a bunch of times because of it.
