As an additional information, i need to put a little Text in here: It just came up in one of my daylie discussions with my wife about EC and our beloved Chaosfaction, is anyone going for PvE ? As we understood it, in PvE we might can gather Ressources and Weapons (i think it was mentioned somewhere) for our faction. Things that are needed at the front. And i think we can and have to use every advantage over our Enemys we can get. So i just was curious to see if our fellow Chaos Commrades also thought about this. Or if you Guys just can't wait to get out there and crush the enemy ? I just want to get a feeling, how you Guys think about it.
of course I want to crush the enemy, etc. However in these games you must be mindful of the strategic levels of game play. If resources need to be gathered, then I will step up to help, if nids need to be beaten back then I will step up to help. The good of the faction above my own desires is how these things tend to work out better. Team work makes dreams work and all that. I know (from past experience) there are a lot of players that will not support this, and tend to just run off doing whatever makes them happy. Honestly it is hard to be mad at them as it is their game and they can play it how they see fit. But the few that understand team work and the rewards that it provides are the ones that will determine the success or failure for their faction. The lone wolf can be useful now and then, and hopefully they can be taught the benefit of working for the greater good. It all boils down to team work...even if your team has 1K members every cog is important, do your part.
I am a PvE player from the bottom of my heart. yeah, I'll PvP if that is what is required of me to play a 40k game, because my relationship with 40k can at best be described as "worrisome", at worst as "obsesssive to the point where the inquisition might check for signs of taint". but honestly, even though I will obviously partake, I don't care for PvP very much at all. so if y'all need someone to harvest 30 mutated tyranid adrenaline glands, I'm your man.
I am the kind of person to just run off and do whatever seems fun at the moment (killing, maiming and all that good stuff). But if there is a good command structure in Chaos and I know that the people in command know what they are doing, then I will obey or at least hear their commands, be at it PvP, PvE or some kind of suicide mission etc.
Tzeentch often works behind the scene instead of confronting enemies head on. It would be cool to bait factions into scattering through subterfuge. If they can see the Chaos people are attempting to get a lot of resources, they might scatter to get their own. Then Chaos brings in their actual fighting force. It really depends on how the PvE will work. They could be used to maneuver enemies where they're more vulnerable.
Here is what I think will truly happen. Those players that love to PvE will more than likely make up the resource gathers as all they will do is this. Those that love to PvP will be in the front lines fighting and taking over territories. It in all may not be as simple as that but you will have this kind of result or close to it. Forget to mention that there will be some that will be doing both PvE and PvP where needed.
