I'd personally turn it off even without a performance cost, I love scorch marks and other "dry" effects but gore is usually over the top for me.

I agree with some of the comments here that blood spatter are cool as long as they don't affect negatively to strain the game. I don't care if we're painting a portrait in blood and expecting to have it there the next day I come back to play.

But seeing blood spatters that last a couple of seconds would of course be cool, and the same goes your your armor. It would be cooler it it lasts longer on your armor since you'll pay more attention to it, but it's not really a deal-breaker.

I'm not sure what to vote for. It's important to me, but it's important because I'd like to have the ability to at least reduce, if not disable the blood/gore of the 40k universe. Such things... they bring up bad thoughts that make me want to puke. I don't want to get further into it, but I hope we'll have the ability to reduce blood/gore if for no other reason than performance optimization. I didn't mind it in Dawn of War 1 for the most part, because it was fairly clean violence (which I'm totally fine with) with some exceptions (like the Necron Wraith unit stabbing infantry through the chest in a huge spray of blood). Space Marine was at, if not a bit beyond my upper limit on that kind of thing from the gameplay videos I watched. The severed limbs can stay, the chainsword executions I saw in the pre-Alpha gameplay preview can stay, I just don't want to see huge sprays of blood and especially not any visible organs (didn't see any of those, but thought I'd make it clear).

Amen. Performance is what is most important, the rest is secondary.

  7. I'd love as much visual customization as possible.

...but I will play on the absolute lowest settings if it gives me the best performance and makes me lag less or even have 1 more frame than the person I am fighting in a PvP game.

Can we shoot off/ brake limbs with fire arms, please please ?!

What about adding the blood and gore to the scenario and landscape if decapitations would but to much restraint on the gpu and cpu? All of our blood and gore hunger could fit in there =D drowl**

Deadspace and doom3 where to much for me, starting to feel wierd/ like puking for some reason :S ? It might not be the blood and gore tho! Rather the monsters or way they present the graphics?

And dear god please include every one of the PEGI symbols to make the game 18+ M rated ! :p
