Personally ive voted Shrine colours dominant and this is due to how I paint my models, as a Biel-Tan player I have a mostly aspect warrior force, for example my Dire Avengers are the standard blue with white helms, I paint the inner face plate green (white and green being Biel-Tan colours and paint the frill to the helm Biel-tan colours, My Banshees are red armour with white helm and white/green hair this is again to tie in with Biel-Tan. as for Scorpions I have painted them with a dark green under plating and a lighter green over plating picking out some plates like the knees white and adding Biel-Tan rune up it. For me this helps tie in with the rest of my force being Wraith guard, wraith lords and Support platforms. Every Aspect warrior shire is tied to the craftworld as its the craftworld that opens the shrine as a new Exarch unfolds (becomes trapped) so the shrines and craftworlds have a bond all ready.
I love options ... so I'd have to say why not have both? a choice between shrine and craftworld as both dominant and trim
It's so hard to decide really. As lore goes, besides warlocks, farseers and vehicles none of the characters will have a Craftworld color scheme since it's all mostly aspect warriors in the game. It counters the idea of choosing a subfaction for the color palette (since any bonus from that Craftworld is leftout). I mean if I'm an Ulthwe scorpion and I see a fellow Biel-Tan scorpion I will barely see the difference in color. Choosing a faction became irrelevant. As much as I like the idea of Craftworld color dominant I can't barely see a scorpion with a different color than his original green. So confusing...
Community Q&A thread #11 is taking Question submissions atm. Posting this message to a few interesting threads. This one has me boggled. Curious what Ghislain, Ivan and Nicolas decided on this.
all I can suggest is to read what TT players have long discussed when it comes to Aspect colour schemes and the different versions of them that have been found in GW approved magazine articles and codecii/suplements http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=169798 http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?54087-Eldar-Armour-Colours http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?389455-Different-Color-Schemes-for-Aspect-Warriors http://www.heresy-online.net/forums/showthread.php?t=16692 http://www.40konline.com/index.php?topic=211747.0 http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/eldar/171280-aspect-warrior-colour-schemes.html http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?47473-Craftworld-Eldar-Aspect-Colours with particular notice to the statements like ... so it would seem even GW doesnt really mind what colour they are (probably as long as you brought the minis and the paints off them lol)
