Warriors of Ultramar: Tyranid Invasion, Ultramarines get send, grab Mortifactors along, defend planet and win. And that is how to make a good book also pretty boring..... Therefore I agree with KillSlim that everything can turned into a flat, crappy plot if you just write it that way. Though I hope that you (KillSlim) also understand what was said, since it was more like because Dawn of War and Space Marine game kinda had same way of plot-twists and storyline. Ork Invasion, Eldar / Chaos were up to it, etc. etc.
that could be said for a great many things...the hobbit, harry potter, enders game, 1984, all of them can be summarized in a way to "sound incredibly simple".
I'm playing an ork so I don't really need a plot. Just give me a fight However, I would agree that it would be tiresome if the ork backstory was basically "Eldar/Chaos lured the orks here because REASONS". It'd be nice with an ork WAAGH that moved on its own
I think you pretty much can expect right that, I imagine the starter of the waagh to be even Thraka, if not then a similar figure who then left the war or whatever cuz he got either killed or bored.
he waagh to be even Thraka, if not then a similar figure Anyway, I hope the Waaghboss is not there anymore, otherwise having a war council would be pretty difficult to make for the Orks ^^ so it will be interesting to see what they come up for the Orks, but I also hope no manipulation.
