About this line from the 1.0.15c patch notes: With the way requisition boxes work currently, this is unacceptable. If you delete an item, it return back into the loot pool, which means now a 30k box can suddenly contain the very weapon color variation that you deleted to make room in your inventory. The fastest way to frustrate demotivate the players from earning and spending requisition is to make them receive and delete the same item again because they are hitting the inventory limit. I also don't see the point of an inventory limit in this game in the first place. Items from RTC, requisition and loot boxes should be treated as unlocks instead. You devs always say you want to make us happy, so please reconsider the inventory limit, as the only purpose it serves to frustrate.
You have my vote on this, but I somehow smell something like 'increased inventory space' being bought for real money on the horizon there.
It is clear from the phrasing in the patch notes "Choose wisely : )" that the intention is that we will hit the limit and have to, well "choose wisely". But with random loot and deleted items reappearing in the pool, plus items from smaller boxes reappearing in more expensive boxes, it's more like a "the winning move is not to play situation", i.e. the wise move is not to buy any more boxes when your inventory is full, as you are likely to waste your time reacquiring and deleting the same items. And assuming they'd have a solution for the aforementioned issues, it'd mean alternative skins for weapons would be reduced to "keep only 1 version to safe inventory space". And still in the end it'd just be annoying, frustrating, with no positive gameplay value.
Believe me, you will soon be able. If you have seen the thread of what is found in the EC steam folders. You can see there if a ton of new wargear and stuff incoming.
I just want to be able to buy inventory space with req (or rts if the price is low and if the amount you gain per campaign is good enough)
I've seen it. Also, assuming 3 mods for each weapon slot we still miss, I don't really see much of a reason to keep inventory limited as it is. I wouldn't panic just yet.
I see your point and agree with what your saying, but once you max out (I'm level 6 with nearly 400k Req on my Eldar atm), if you delete one item from your inventory in a 30k box, basically anything I can possibly own will still come from a 30k box. The real frustration will be if they broaden the 1k, 5k, and 12k pools to make it impossible to store the items necessary for selective buying, which then I agree with you, itd be really dumb to constantly buy/sell a cycle of 1k items in a 30k box because you can't hope to prevent them from showing up.
But it does present the issue of what the OP is talking about. What happens with the lowest to highest way of doing things? Relinquishing weapons back into the pool to free space is going to throw a spanner in the works of that as you are going to be finding those same weapons and gear again and again.
As a player: I can see the possible frustrating elements here, getting the item you've just relinquished and so on might not be the best experience HOWEVER As a game designer: I can also see what bE wants to achieve here, while duplicates are never fun, we don't really have random trash items in the game and there needs to be a system that will pull requisition from the game even from rank 6 end game players, its not really good idea to have a resource that you can't use for anything. Inventory limit and items back to boxes is a system that makes some kind of compromise in here.
