>.> It's a poll on a forum on the Internet. Statistically it's so far out of whack just because of that fact that it's for novelty purposes only.
While not a shooter. It never bothered Guildwars fans much way back in the day when they introduced it plus I have seen a lot worse. And yeah funny you mention Diablo 3, because they way I remember it, they had the internet up in arms for one the most unscrupulous money grabbing mechanics ever seen in a video game. They pulled it back though with reaper of souls and stuff so fair play to that but still, they bloody had to to repair that fook up. Also lalalalalala to anything EA related. There is no way in hell you can convince me that they are not the biggest money grabbing bastards in gaming history.
Diablo 3 pre-Reaper of Souls was a huge feth-up for a wide variety of reasons extending far beyond the RMAH.
Believe me I know but its still not the wisest game to bring up in an argument about being fair to customers.
what is the problem? we have slots, we(see above poll) want more, they need money, we have money. If you don't like it don't buy it, and the business model will fail. I agree it's not perfect, but it's one of the best ways And honestly, if you can come up with new income streams for video games, that are welcomed by players, why aren't you a millionaire?
It's not a good income stream, it's limited in capacity and has players concerned about a Pay2Win mechanic. And it is, being able to pay for more tactical diversity per match is a paid for advantage, it's rather undeniable. That nobody else has come up with an alternative revenue stream that players would accept is irrelevant, as it does not appear anyone else has accepted this one, including people like me who voted yes. If they add in more slots, it should not be for cash. If not even the people who agree with the premise of the issue of more slots agree with the solution you propose, it's definitely not one of the best plans.
Then what is? People like you would rather see the game die, then spend a few dollars. You appear to not understand that developers need money, what do you think Namco-Bandai will do if the game is unprofitable? I was, and am, of the belief that the devs said that rtc would be grindable, so cheap bastards need not be salty I have bought 5 copies of the game for myself and buddies, you would probably whine about the tactical advantage that gives me, and, we are on discord coordinating, oh noes, op pay2win.
I am not advocating for P2W. I should have been more clear in my OP, it is my understanding they are going to make rtc grindable in game.
