  1. Yeah but PS2 is ugly as shit.

:: nods :: Its graphics aren't spectacular, but it's an MMO shooter designed to have over a hundred players fighting over a single base. Its graphics therefore have to be fairly low-end to accommodate a playable framerate.

Also... I play a Warlock in Eternal Crusade. I think I prefer Planetside 2's graphics over Eternal Crusade's.

Who knows. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt while you can be cynical. Fact is they have said multiple times everything will be in game to make your own equiv of RTP weapons with the same stats and that more wargear is on its way so hopefully the issue will be sorted soon finally.

They never said when, and in the past whenever they've been as vague as "next month" it tends to take much, much longer.

Considering that October is supposedly the month where they focus on Campaigns, I would not be expecting those mods any time before the end of the year.
    Galen likes this.

True. We don't know. I'm just going by what Nathan said about more wargear coming last week. It didn't appear in the last patch so I'm hoping/expecting it in the next couple of weeks. They have something else why'd he say it?
  6. Why end at more loadout slots? Why not sell more loadout points or just stat boosters. If you want to go P2W (and no i dont count useless skins as p2w, expect abaddons grace) then go full retard....

    /sarcasm

They've been promising more Eldar cosmetics since launch and we haven't seen any sign of that yet.

Also, they have to tell us stuff is on the way. Because really, if you didn't believe that big improvements were coming soon... would you still keep playing?
You're being humorous about it, but I honestly doubt that EC will be able to support itself. I think it's going to go free-to-play fairly quickly, then when it still fails to be able to support itself they're going to go pay-to-win. I know that the developers have said they don't want to go down that road, but I think that if it becomes necessary to make Eternal Crusade pay-to-win to keep it running... they'll do it. They may not like it, but they'll do it.
  8. Thing is an item shop in a 50€, non "MMO" lobby shooter is questionable at the very least - and with those prices and the way how RTC packs always give you 1k less than what the items usually cost I personally find it disgusting.
The "free" expansions you mention will most likely be stuff that was meant to be ingame at launch for quite a while.
Funny you mention Blizzard because Diablo 3 got quite some content for free. Battlefield 4 was supplied with free content as well.
The 10k were a nice gesture yes, but in the end they did it because they fucked up. And all the twitch giveaways were nice fan service, granted. But in the end my points still stand.

Yes I would much rather have had proper paid expansions. Then again with under 1500 players that's probably not a good idea.
  9. We should have more slots, just not in the method you suggest.

Just to be clear, World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV are the two biggest AAA MMOs that not only require a significant purchase, but also a monthly subscription fee. They both have cash shops for cosmetic stuff, and WoW has already started offering character power by letting you buy a level boost up to the current expansion's starter level.

Cash shops for cosmetic stuff are just kinda part of online gaming nowadays.
