Yeah and the rate at which we'll get RTC totally won't be so slow you'll just eventually spend the real money. Because BHVR has shown such a cusomer friendly attitude when it comes to the RTC/RTS.
They gave out 10k RTP free the other week. They have given out millions in the twitch shows. The are giving us all expansions for free. (minus 1 which has to be paid for, no way around it). They have plans to earn RTP in game (which we have no idea how will work yet). I don't know about you but I can't think of many other game companies that have showered that much on fans. Look at how Sega, EA, Blizzard and the rest compare. Also yes the cosmetics might be a little steep in places but then how do you expect them to earn continuous revenue otherwise? Would you rather paid expansions?
Star Trek Online lets you get their real-money currency with in-game currency. The point isn't that they're selling cosmetic stuff for real money, which is fine. The point is that their cosmetic stuff is ridiculously overpriced compared to equivalents in other MMO shooters, and there is a total lack of cosmetic changes that you can acquire through gameplay.
I only voted yes because I want more slots period. I would say No to it being RTC based though, just increase for all.
But many other MMO shooters offer a lot more than just cosmetics for real money. ATM cosmetics are all they have to offer. Well except for the weapons which have mods that are not available yet but that is more of an oversight than anything. Game development costs money and without it, we don't even stand a chance to see the potential this game has yet to offer.
Uhh, two things. 1. Planetside 2 primarily offers cosmetics for real money, for a lot cheaper than the stuff offered in EC. 2. Eternal Crusade has weapons on the RT store which can only be purchased with real money. Okay, a third thing. 3. Eternal Crusade's developers have been consistently long on promise and short on delivery, even when they thought they had enough money to keep development going to a proper launch, so I don't think that buying a ton of overpriced cosmetics is going to help the game improve much. I think that even if the players combined supplied a total of 50 million dollars to help make EC into the game it's supposed to be, the developers would blow through that money without delivering much and be asking for more and still only have vague promises of potential and improvement to offer in exchange.
1. I think it has a lot more than that. Namely weapons and add ons that are pay for convenience at the very least which you .know earns them huge revenue. 2. Only by oversight. Mods to make the ingame equivs of those weapons are coming. The only difference then will be cosmetic.
That oversight!I mean really its not as if they were trying to get people to spend RTC on weapons like AG or something ...right right?
