@NoahWard The core problem is the matchmaker for both - orks and eldar. And thats why they hate LSM. Solve unfair / uneven matches starts and you will see less salt and insults after that. Its devs' side to do their job. Its common thing that if players cant do anything with matchmaker that screwing them time by time - they will 100% insult opposing side that always gets benefits of uneven matches. The LSM.
I mean, the reason I don't play orks only partially has to do with their clunkyness. It's just by and large I just find their faction, minus the Blood Axes, uninteresting or not what im looking for. People downplay factional loyalty a lot, but it's a pretty big factor for some people.
To add to the pile of problems: Loota model is huge. Looking up or from the side at braced heavy bolter you see only weapon. Looking at braced loota you see everything. Orks are only faction that gets hit straight in the face with smart weapons. Ork head is lower then others so autolocking on same height counts as head shot = more dmg. Even reduced headshot dmg doesn't help as you still take more dmg then other race would when hit in same spot on model. When hiding behind the cover with shoota and bracing, when you try to hide again/stop aim, your return to cover animation is for no reason really long. It's like you turn around in slow motion. You can overcome it by just reloading but again... WHY? Kommando... great thing... too bad it's glorified striking scorpion with 1 life that can't equip survival item. Sneaky skills not only cost 400LP but also take best wargear slot for gob. So you end up with Veteran that can only really use 1000LP and have don't have gob slot. Scorpions are way better in that comparison. Not to mention Sneak attack dmg bonus doesn't count towards claw attacks that could somehow make it worth it. If sneaky skills were to take capture key slot then i can see it much more viable. Speaking of Elites (as i'm venting already), Orks get gimped Scorpion veteran, Chaos get shafted with meta irrelevant "Possessed" marine that doesn't even look like a decent Possessed, and LSM get Flaming bullets broken Marine from the legends. It just doesn't make sense. Kommando are in every Waaagh! They are quite common i would say. You also see Possessed Marines in like every major conflict that Chaos participate in. And then there is Burning Legionnaire, immortal Marines from legends that are almost godlike. That make no sense at all. And btw, you could just modify ork claw to be more flesh like and slap it on Possessed instead of fist and it would look more decent at least... And the pile is getting bigger and bigger and bigger...
Man... I'm pretty damn disappointed in you Orks, you have literally become a feral echo chamber that according to the forums cant fight its way out of a wet paper bag. You guys literally have every class rocking 140+ toughness, a head shot reduction, and you have the Big Shoota, you have three literal tools that counter Tactical and Nurgle marines. Your faction needs nothing but a couple of quality of life improvements, when that happens, you've surpassed Chaos as the de facto best faction with your absurdly good ranged weapons and obscene toughness.
It is a great and fun experience. Only some of the tools and some melee animations are wonky but nothing that detracts too much unless you keep trying to use the broken bits.
Well playing a bugged gimped faction that is nerfed every patch with no fixes in sight is lame. Plus there isn't really anything unique about them (apart from being buggy of course) Most of the weapons that come from boxes are just what other factions get as standard. Being funny and the roleplay in chat is the only thing going for them and even the later seems to be gone at the moment.
