Please, for the love of god, play Orks

I don't think SIPS is the term you're looking for, SIPS means Spread Increase Per Shot, and the Shoota already has the best SIPS of any of the basic rifles.

Here you're asking for literally the exact opposite of what needs to be done, it is entirely possible to shoot an enemy to death in the duration of one dbash stun, and you want to be able to shoot for more time during that stun? Just no.

Never had that problem at all to be honest.Ork are Killing machines up close to regular bolter tacticals,Storm bolter users on the other hand is a different story.Vengeance storm bolter is damn right made to counter Orks in close range but bolters? nah.

Dbash stun and shooting us in our massive green faces = game over. If their using their knife, your probably going to survive. Its way easier to backpeddle after the Dbash and just shoot you in the head.

Depends on if they decide to sprint into you and melee cheese.

Hi forums Geoff Undred Teef here, long time lurker first time poster.

I have very little confidence that the devs are paying attention to this forum post, but I'm seeing a lot of opinions and misinformation being spread around and I wanted to chime in and add my 2 teef as a no lifer and someone who has played orks like 20+ hours a week every week since September 2016.

Orks are in a bad place within the current meta because:
We are the only faction without an antivehicle weapon that can immediately begin to apply serious damage to vehicles while doing double duty as a viable anti infantry weapon. CSM/LSM has melta guns, Eldar has fusion guns.

Ork kannons, rokkit launchas, zzap guns, and power klaws all have a charge time that can be interrupted by a light attack. In a clan v clan stack, you will always have an antivehicle team running around in a transport chasing the other antivehicle team running around in a transport. Orks lose that engagement nearly 100% of the time because we have no tools whatsoever to force an engagement (grav guns, haywire grenades) or quickly apply damage during the small windows of vulnerability. You are forced to just wait for the enemy team to make a mistake and hope you can apply enough damage within that window.

This is also exacerbated by the handling of the trukks compared to rhinos and wave serpents, which can both quickly perform a 180 degree turn in place. The silhouette of the trukk is also large and MUCH taller than others, making it that much more difficult to use cover to avoid detection or ranged damage. I actually don't mind the trukks being so different (I think they have a better top speed?), but when you realize that the entirety of this game is based around transport management (getting yours are in position and denying them to the enemy), it far and above is the most painful aspect of ork gameplay.

Also, painboy is objectively the worst healer in the game. The sicky grenades are nonviable against any coordinated or veteran player. The gas cloud emits from a small stick that can be destroyed by 1-2 bolter shots, grenade explosions, or a light breeze. Healing grenades (fungus beer) have the same fragility issue, compounded by an ENORMOUS hitbox. The lifesteal buff from fighting juice and the slight HP regen buff from the normal vials are completely outclassed by the 30% damage mitigation buff available to apothecaries, who are also wielding bolters, adding the same amount of DPS to any given firefight as a tactical marine. The sicky sluga IS nice in 1v1 situations, but as another poster already pointed out the ammo capacity is so small that you WILL NOT be adding DPS to a large team battle the same way someone with a bolter will.

I love Orks, and EC is the only game where I can charge into a fight with a sword in one hand and a gun in the other, and I love that about this game. I wish the devs were more transparent with their updates and the direction they want to take the game. When certain aspects of gameplay are completely bugged and nonfunctional for months at a time, and I'm seeing patch notes with bunches of weird little jokes instead of changelogs, it makes me really frustrated.

I do like that the Painboy grenades are stupidly big, it's very Orky. They do need something to balance that out, however. Right now they are, at best, just as survivable as a Space Marine grenade, but about three times the size.
It stands to reason they either need three times the hitpoints, or as many hit points, but much faster recharge. Basically anything to balance the larger size. I'd personally go with the faster recharge, as this gives the Painboy a slightly more hands-on role than the Apo, who drops and forgets. The Painboy instead drops and remembers.
In order to not make it too powerful, I'd have the previous healing grenade despawn when you drop another.

    Digganob :(

Orks do have some legitimate complaints, the Camera can be inconvenient, the hovering off of a balcony after jumping is fucking horrible, and I hate the fact the Orks are more Tau than Ork when it comes to melee, but your faction ever since the drop of the 1.3 patch have become second to/nearly equal to Chaos in terms of best faction and its grating on my nerves that so many Ork are doing their best impersonation of LSM players crying about how bad they have it.

I feel your issue about Ork kannons, Rokkit Launchas, Zzap guns and Klaws having charge times isn't a very valid complaint, everything you listed is a one hit kill with no downed state and blast radius of varying size, sans the Zzap gun and Klaw. Granted the Melta bundle and Rokkit are slightly slower at killing a parked Rhino, but its just that, only slightly slower. As to forcing an engagement, you have Zzap guns and a tank, just chase the Rhino/Serpant with your tank or Zzap gun the transport from a safe distance like LSM does against Eldar.

Also, doesn't the big shoota on the Trukk suppress, if so that alone answers your question to Grav guns/Lascannons.

And I would almost argue you guys don't even need Painboyz, built properly with 140-150 toughness, hp stacking and weapons like the Big Shoota, Ace Dakka, Plasma/Dakka Deffgun and some Shield boyz, you just built yourself the anti bolter meta right there, the fact you have the head shot reduction fucks both the bolter and Dire Avengers tools.

I still cant stress enough how OP the Big shoota is in this current meta, Tacticals/Apoths, to an extent Devastators, and Dire Avengers get fucked over by the suppression and RPM of a Big shoota, it literally prints free kills. I mean, man... I feel like that deranged person who just saw the monster kill my friend and I'm yelling at everyone in the cabin about how said monster is going to kill us all and no one will listen while they kick back some shitty beer :(

    Rokkits are a joke.

"Let me just nod and be a histrionic here for a second...annnnddd Orks OP."

    Literally.

    Bolters > Big Shoota

I don't care about the supression. Bolters with their intense accuracy, long range damage falloff and little to no recoil will not care either.

In CQC, which is 80% of the game's current format, I'm going to win against it using a bolter.

I'm sorry, but I'm having a REALLY hard time taking you seriously anymore, especially after we had a couple of long conversations on the state of the Ork faction, both via voice and text.

If you're going to be so hyperfocused on one measily issue and have the gall to post garbage like this as if you're trying to show that the faction as a whole is okay, you're doing absolutely nothing but prove to everyone that you're a flake and change your opinion on things via time of the day or whatever it is that sends you flipping off.

Will Lash of Slaanesh be tomorrow's new rant?

Telling us we don't need painboys is possibly the most condescending and downright insulting thing. "Nah fam, you don't need a support class, you've got weapon X, and this much toughness, man up!!"

No, you sit down and go to bed. Don't talk about game balance when you've got absolutely no game sense whatsoever. Especially with over a thousand hours played. The fact that I had to sit down and explain to you meticulously for hours on end why the Ork faction is fucked, complete with babies video guide towards the problems which you labeled as "legitimate complaints" should fucking close this subject.
  10. depends on the rokkit honestly, there's more then a few different kinds. the one most complained about is our regular rokket luancher, as its an okay AV weapon (taking the same general slot as melta's for other races) and also commits the cardinal sin of killing people with one hit if it hits you dead on.

then you have your pokkit rokkit, witch has considerably less AV power but can MOSTLY kill someone as well as stun on hitting, but is rather impractical to use at short range.

you have the specialist pokkit rokkit known as the slowgit, witch while stronger then usual, also has the same rokkit traverse speed as a sprinting ork, if waaagh is in effect, giving orks their speed buff, you can actually outpace the flying rokkit, and shoot yourself in the back.

then there is the skip launcher, which fires three bottle rokkits that do 120 damage (less then two shots from a slab slugga) that have a timed charge and bounce, meaning if you shoot a marine with it, the rokkits simply bounce off their body and explode elsewhere, causing no damage.

usually, unless the ork was cooking his rokket off behind cover, you have about 4 seconds to close the distance or shoot him, count to four, then dodge roll, hopefully his rokket does not miss where he was aiming and spiral into you.
