I'd just stay the route that they are in DOW and models. Like someone said before they are alien in the way they think, their culture and weapons/armour. They closely appear to be heavily influenced by Tolkien in both appearances and background. Not the super skinny giants and oddly stretched shaped heads that some ask for. I'v heard people outcry that the Star Wars aliens don't look alien enough... I mean how alien can you get? Do you want them to have six arms and be gender less? Because if you dislike how they are depicted as fairy-like race of Elves, then you're going to hate them, that pretty much sums up their entire background and story since Game Workshop created them.
A lot of people interpreted the Space Jockey from 'Alien' to be this ^ Because they had space suits that looked like this ^ When they were actually this ^ Not surprisingly the Eldar have everything in common with them in that they have alien technology, and they are not so far removed in physiology to humans. They have alien tech and different abilities that no human has. Yet some want this: to = this Probably the Imperium of man think Eldar are some hideous mutated evil alien (few want them to be), due to them never seeing one without their suits, and only being able to see the ruins of their culture and buildings that are so vastly different.
So basically they are this: I mean no matter how you argue it, all the high elves are essentially slender and beautiful, with more feminine qualities in terms of features. Not admitting they are heavily influenced by Tolkien is just being in denial. The only difference is how far you go to making their cheeks look as if they have sunken inwards. Or have a balance between DOW and have them more rounded. Elder Scrolls went the extreme, and made them super skinny with long faces and gaunt cheeks. I personally don't like this look [opinion], and much prefer the above ones (only emphasizing on their soft slender features a little, not drastically). Another important point to make is they have not been heavily portrayed in this manner from the models and recent works I have seen so far. There is also a thing called aesthetic creativity, and looks may vary depending on the artist. I mean anyone with enough money could get the rights to make a Warhammer game and portray the Eldar in being tall with beady eyes and shrunken cheek bones, but that does not make them official staple that is a rule to follow. So far that's what I'm reading from anyone that takes offense for them being remotely attractive by any human standards. Depending on how deep the face customization is, they may have a random button that will make them look oddly enough for you. Think Oblivion style I also apologize if I'm obsessing over this topic. I just like talking a lot on the same subject.
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VP7xTQf_qI Well I think you've just said everything I was going to say literally two minutes ago.. youze 'tink yer bedder den meze dontchu.... But I totally agree, TES handled their elves in a pretty effective way so to speak. In terms of not making them too human. I think that having the cheeks be sunken but not to skeletal levels would be nice, somewhere in between so to speak. Now one thing that's been irking me is the damn eyes however... I've heard like three different descriptions of what their eyes look like in terms of color, nothing is real anymore.
What can I say... I'd say they come in all different varieties, except they shine like pure starlight. I'd like to think it's because of their strong physic connection.
Does anyone have a link to the official pieces of Eldar (most recent) without helmets? I'd like to see them.

Well I'm hoping the EC art team will give us a preview of what they look like (concept wise) but my guess is they have already made the models.
