"Clear the operating area!" While another doctor was clearing the blood and puss out of his gaping wound and another was preparing surgical tools. As you leave you see doctors cleaning their hands prepare as the curtains are shut. 30 minutes pass by and the head surgeon comes out his hands are covered in blood. He looks to all of you and says. "He will be fine in a few days but he won't be combat ready for about a week."
Watching as the Medicares did their work Dalimond was considering the implications of the squad having lost its sergeant so soon, though not concerned though with how the event might have impacted squad discipline he decided to enact the chain of command protocol and pass leadership to the most senior remaining member of the squad. He caught sight of Corporal Luther first and decided that he had the the best talent for command capacity necessary to lead the squad in its present state. 'Corporal Luther, due to the shortage of time to appoint a new sergeant from outside the squad before the mission can begin I nominate you to act in the role of Sargeant as per the next in the command chain protocol. You are to act in the role of sergeant for the duration of the time needed by Sergeant Rankin to make a full recovery or a new sergeant is provided by the command structure.' Looking around for the Captain who was strangely absent from current events Dalimond continued. 'Captain Sarrai, is our timetable to commence this mission still in place?'
"It will be two days in the lander to Cordile IV." the Captain said. But the Inquisitor voice came in tone. "Your squad has as much moral as Space Wolves..." He walked out before anyone else could say anything. The captain looked around the room and pointed @Wincent "Medic you are being re-assigned to Squad 17 get you stuff moved to their bunks."
Corporal Luther looked at Commissar Dalimond, nodded once and saluted. He then looked back at Sergeant Rankin once more and sighed. " Sarge, I will take care of the squad till your back tough bastard. " He turned back again, took a evaluating look at the Commissar. " Sir, We need replacements since we are down three troopers. " He looked over at Irimina. " Ir, You and and your choice of trooper guard the sarge. Nominate a third for the squad and get him to assemble them back in the transport. "
Irmina breathed a great sigh of relief upon hearing her leader be alright, "Praise the Emperor." She patted their wounded sergeant, "Don't worry boss, Luth and I will after the kids." She stood up and gave a quick nod to Luther. "Alright boys, these traitors just insulted our Emperor and tried to kill our sergeant. I don't know about you, but I'm pissed! So get ready, cause we're gonna reap a bloody vengeance! Catachan, take the squad and get them ready for war on the lander." She turned to look at the giant of a man, the blood of her leader still fresh on him. "Your with me Ogryn, anyone tries to get in here unauthorized, we end them." She liked the big guy, he helped save their Boss, she wouldn't forget it. (@TuskatheDaemonKilla )
"Will do Ma'am." Jakob stood guard with the corporal his own wounds had been take care of but the doctors but the blood of their servant was all over the front of his long coat. All this and the mission hasn't even started and yet their sergeant was out for a week. Perhaps the Commissar will take command or maybe one of the corporals will be given a temporary promotion either way this was going to be an interesting mission. He continued to think as he went over and leaned on a wall near the only door in the room.
Janice Derithmas walks out close to the lander. She looks around, seemingly with a bit of a proffessional style. Her boots echo against the floor as she walks up to the lander, looking around for people. (worst start ever xD need to have a basis somehow)
Luther walks out of the medical building with a dataslate updating him on the deployment changes. He gets an alert about the newly assigned medic due to his sergeant's injuries. He see her near the lander and he smiles tightly. " Specialist Derithmas, your 17th Squad now report to barracks 11, pick up your new shoulder plate and get your kit. You are to load up on this lander and report to Specialist Do'urden. I will brief you more in flight. " @Wincent
Janice nods, quickly leaving for the Barracks to pick up the shoulderplate and kit. She has been a bit curious about being in the field again, due to recently mostly standing behind the lines, helping thosee that arrive from combat. Her foot clack against the floor as she hurries along, soon entering the barracks, looking around´, wondering if anyone else is there.
<Cordile IV> The next two days go along quietly everyone is fitting the rest of the squad is fitted with nameless regs with las guns. Then you are told to go the lander doors and lock into place to head to the front line head quarters. The ship shutters rocking people fall over some fall face first dead due to impact. Then the hard crash then the doors open and everyone files out. You are directed to the Valkyrie you were assigned to and are about to head out. The Commissar does a head count then you are sent off to the ruined city named Lurian the enemy Hydra fire glanced at the Valkyrie but if was merely scratches on the paint you all land safely but the boom of the front line could be her even from 40 miles away from the combat zone. You are on a highway in a ruined burnt out city with nothing in it but dead people and Heretics... The Auspex is telling yoo to go 2 miles North East, follow Porter Main drive the half a mile turn right then another mile on Emperors road which will lead you to the Chapel where you should find what you are looking for.
